Also Trump only became President due to several unlikely twists of fate. If you were trying to cultivate KGB assets 40 years ago in the hopes that one of them would eventually become President, you would mostly be focusing on congressmen and governors, not moderately famous real estate developers.

It’s certainly a timely post. A Philippine F/A-18 just went missing over the South China Sea about an hour ago.
This is all downstream from the fact that the west shipped their entire means of production to China. That was stupid to the point of being suicidal. The only reason things seemed better in 2015 was because Western Civilization E. Coyote was still sprinting on thin air and hadn’t yet looked down and noticed that he was about to plunge headlong into the gorge. A three year lead on chip production was never going to make up for that, even putting aside the facts that the American academic-technological complex is overly reliant on foreign brain power and riddled with Chinese spies. Biden and the EU’s only proposed solution was to start a massive industrial war to try and claw it all back, which they would never be able to win because they don’t have an industrial base to fight it with.

Because of demographic declines that happened before the war, the 16-18 demographic of Ukraine is tiny compared to the older ones. Drafting 18 year olds isn’t going to open vast new reserves of troops.

Starmer isn’t actually doing that, he’s just using a lot of weasel words to make it sound like he is. If there is a peace treaty and if that peace treaty involves a DMZ and if that DMZ needs to be patrolled then Starmer is more than happy to contribute some troops to patrol that DMZ as part of a multinational task force.

It’s very unlikely Putin would agree to any deal that allows Ukraine to join NATO. That’s the whole reason he started the war in the first place, and he would be better served just continuing to grind on if that was the offer.

Unfortunately it’s extremely dependent on the Haber-Bosch process. Modern crops aren’t grown in soil as much as they are grown in a six foot deep layer of fertilizer. Much of the phosphates for that fertilizer comes from Russia which is part of why food prices have been going up so much over the last few years.

It’s also fertile arable land that the projection models suggest won’t be much affected by global climate change in the next 40 years. By 2060, it could be a significantly larger percentage of the world’s remaining agricultural output than it is now. I know not everyone here believes that GCC is a real phenomenon, but it is an indisputable fact that many high up military and government people in many countries do.

I have seen plenty of people who make me seriously question if alcohol is a form of literal demonic possession.
I deleted my prior angry screed that I had here, I realized that I had started this whole exchange by accidentally replying to entirely the wrong person, which is why my tone seemed seemed so oddly strident.
My point was that it’s probably time for Ukraine to pack it in because they’re not doing as well as claimed, and NATO likely doesn’t have the industrial capacity to bail them out. I went and looked at your other posts and I noticed that you were saying basically the same thing and I was sort of talking past you. Sorry about that.

If nuclear weapons all disappeared tomorrow I feel like they'd need about three Russias to take down Poland at this point.
And if I was seven foot-four and had great hand-eye coordination I would be making 55 million dollars a year in the NBA. Also, the Polish army is about 1/3 the size of Ukraine’s army.

There were zero downsides bar the occasional volunteer getting hit by an IED in a military they volunteered for.
There were a lot of downsides for the people that were getting hit by those IEDs, which is why they stopped volunteering. If there’s another war it will have to be fought by conscripts.

Worryingly, they could pretty easily become a nuclear weapons state now by cannibalizing their nuclear reactors. Zelensky has threatened to do that. And that’s assuming none of the fifty or so Soviet nuclear warheads that went missing aren’t in Ukraine’a possession. Which puts their constant demand for delivery systems that can hit Moscow in a rather ominous light.
If you want a good non-Jewish example, Cuban exiles in the swing state of Florida have prevented normalization of relations with Cuba against all rational geopolitical interest for the last 40 years.
