Off topic, but estimates of early dog domestication are 15,000 to 40,000 years ago.
When you go back 300,000 years, we're looking at fossil evidence of the first modern humans.
But dogs are one of deadliest animals in the USA, not far behind wasps.
In Chicago, it goes beyond "minor physical violence"

Relating to members of outgroups, there's a picture from FaceBook showing him wearing a Trump shirt. You can buy a re-creation of the shirt with the correct camo pattern and Trump print for your collection of morbid artifacts. The weird thing is that on Sanford's shirt, it appears Trump is holding something between his mouth and fist. Maybe a cigar, dildo, or harmonica. The print appears to be noticeably off-center, but that may be a quality control issue. So there are conspiracies that the photo is an AI hoax and he was not a Trump supporter at all.
I'm not really confident in any explanation I can think of. Perhaps this is a glitch from in-camera AI enhancement?
His statement seems literally true: many MAGA-types were indeed desperately trying to portray the murderer as having anti-MAGA, pro-trans politics. Just because they were likely correct doesn't mean this couldn't be an interesting observation about the need to tribalize; us-versus-them; one of you did a bad thing. Kimmel wasn't making this criticism and was instead implying likely false things of the shooter, but I don't think the FCC should be pressuring Disney here. I think both Kimmel and Carr displayed poor judgment. There's some more context of the segment described at https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/national-international/what-did-jimmy-kimmel-say-jimmy-kimmel-live-pre-empted/3989961/
