Yet, Tajiks in Uzbekistan feel themselves totally welcome in a nation made up by the Russians (Uzbeks aren't themselves even Uzbeks). Countless minorities feel welcome in America from Sicilians, to Lebanese, to Irish, and so on. Why not blacks?

Or, maybe people have genuine beliefs and aren't just coordinating to keep people from the truth of your ideology.

I can't help but laugh at far right people accusing anyone not as red pilled as them as being a 'sactioned dissident' or whatever the new term is. Can you not believe that people actually believe something different than you for a real reason?

I don't accept the ground premises you do physical and metaphysical. If I accepted your premises I would agree with your definition of Christianity and agree these people were not Christian. The epistemological and inferential differences between us are to great for us to really resolve this debate. I am just giving my materialist, sociological view on the issue. You are free, from your devote Christian view, to believe the Progressive Churches to not be real Christians, but this debate can't be resolved by appealing to these definitions that rest on assumptions I don't agree with, you have to defeat the assumptions first.

That some Christians consider others not really Christians is completely meaningless to my epistemology of religion.

You and that person were misinterpreting what induced demand means. It means the only cost to driving on a road is traffic, so in high demand times the cost will equal the benefit of driving and traffic will be at a standstill. It is agnostic over whether greater capacity is a good thing, it just says greater capacity won't fix rush hour problems.

He could have, by your own account, avoided the prison sentence entirely by coughing up the money. It isn't a miscarriage of justice that a man decides he'd rather spend 14 years in jail then cough up the cash for his ex-wife. It says more about his own issues then it does the justice system.

and is there anyone who is such a believer in parental rights that they would allow a pedophile widower to retain custody of a 12-year-old after impregnating her?

When they did genetic studies of people in Britain they found that one person was the product of father daughter incest. But, they kept it secret, because, of course, the people involved were Pakistani.

I'm a short thin man who drinks a lot of alcohol and also has lots of sugary drinks alongside that. I can't subsist off one meal a day. there is no way anyone else can either. What kind of meals are you eating that you can fit 2,200 calories on one plate?

We believe the theory of evolution and not other theories, because, the facts back it up, not in spite of those facts like Aristotelian metaphysics and transubstantiation. If the facts showed the theory of evolution was likely false I would believe in t was likely false. The Church just throws up it's hands and says it's a mystery don't think to hard. If transubstantiation was true it would be the greatest discovery in physics ever, even more important than a theory of quantum gravity; yet, people are fine just shrugging their shoulders and calling it a mystery.

As for the protests, they're probably astroturfed Western-backed events anyway.

Do you have any source for that or did you just make it up? The government wouldn't need to be so draconian if it really thought it had broad support for it's policies. The Islamist faction gained power through a coup and quickly suppressed it's rivals who helped it gain power.

“Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives...

I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative. I believe that is so obviously and universally admitted a principle that I hardly think any gentleman will deny it. Suppose any party, in addition to whatever share it may possess of the ability of the community, has nearly the whole of its stupidity, that party must, by the law of its constitution, be the stupidest party; and I do not see why honorable gentlemen should see that position as at all offensive to them, for it ensures their being always an extremely powerful party . . . There is so much dense, solid force in sheer stupidity, that any body of able men with that force pressing behind them may ensure victory in many a struggle, and many a victory the Conservative party has gained through that power."

-John Stuart Mill

You do understand that energy demands fluctuate throughout the day and spending energy when it's available and cheap to have it when it is in demand and expensive is important? I was taught that as a child.

If we are to assume they are both fanatics then let us support the side that doesn't attack neutral ships. Seems like an easy compromise.

Because even small deviations of the official inflation or growth rates would become obvious over the long run, considering they are exponential. They would also show up in things like the exchange rate and interest rates. People who doubt the official statistics never sanity check themselves and consider what the world would look like if their skepticism was correct.

Brahmins in the west, at least America, don't care at all about caste. It's not something relevant here.

What level of evidence would it take to convince you that the term "grooming" has a history of common and uncontroversial use to describe adults or older youths maneuvering themselves into a position of unaccountable confidence and authority over younger adolescents and children, to their benefit and the child's detriment, but without explicitly sexual connotations?

Grooming in that context isn't to the child's detriment. It's to the child's benefit. It means you have picked them out to receive special training and privileges so they can take over some high status role in the group.

Even in the trans-human future trans people would still be personality and interest wise more like their birth sex than what they transitioned into. Unless we are also changing our brains now. That is the biggest lie of the transgender movement, that trans people are psychologically more like their preferred gender on psychometric traits than their biological sex. Programmer socks are a meme for a reason.

Or, why not just preemptively use our magical transhuman technology to erase the existence of people who are transgender.

The administrative state was always like this, though. It's nothing new and it doesn't seem to be particularly bad in modern America or the West more generally. You had all these problems and worse in Imperial China or Rome. You had these problems in the supposedly absolutist Bourbon dynasty that had to call on the Estates General to try to get around the recalcitrant regional Parlements.

Are you not counting the Tatars as true Mongols? Surely a Russian like yourself would know about the legacy they left culturally and even genetically to the Russian people. Modern Russia is as much a creation of the Golden Horde as it is the Rus.

magic actually works but you have to literally either go through extreme suffering...

it would be the best to approach all of this precisely through an institution that says "That's bad...

(most likely) Christianity.

Are thinking about the same Christianity? The one I know glorifies martyrdom, suffering and self sacrifice. At least the Catholic version.

So your only issue with this line of reasoning is the racial line, but you are 100% on board with the cultural idea that Jews want to destroy Christian civilization and have been actively working on that program for centuries?

Someone could write a paragraph dropping as many Sanskrit words as you did Greek words in defense of their position and I would be no more moved.

Someone could drop as many Taoist (or is it Daoist?) words and I would be even less moved.

No, why would I? My ancestors were from an amalgamation of very divergent groups in relatively recent history. My cousins are descended partly from similarly divergent groups. Unless we hope to drive the various non-white racial groups that exist in the USA to extinction, I see no reason to oppose interracial marriage. That we should support eugenics in general, then sure, but I'm not advocating for miscegenation laws, genocide, or sterilization.

There is actually pretty strong evidence that the original proto-Indo-European speakers were from Armenia/Northwest Iran and the new population that formed the late proto-Indo-European in Ukraine that became the modern Europeans was actually mostly from the y-haplogroup the EHG who lived there before, and the mitochondrial DNA is mostly from the original proto-Indo-Europeans from Armenia. Because, ancient DNA from Hittites in Anatolia had absolutely no EHG ancestry and certainly no y-haplogroups from any EHG. Of course, it's controversial to people like the starter of this thread who cares so much about y-haplogroups.

I'm an Anglo, but our culture was spread by proto-Germanic people with the haplogroup I1, a non-Indo-European haplogroup, and we are mostly not I1 now. We are mostly the Bell Beaker R1b, even in Germany and Denmark we are mostly R1b, with lots of R1a. If you look at a map of what the most common haplogroup Germanic speaking people have its a pastiche of all 3. I'm not ashamed of any of my ancestors and I think this whole thing is ridiculous.

And all of us who either immigrated after the Civil Rights Movement ended or lived in places with few or no Blacks?

Blacks were the recipients of moral progress in the West not the drivers. Physicists and engineers actually drove material progress. That's the difference.

Your point about the Irish isn't exactly wrong, the Irish monks certainly maintained classical works through laborious reproduction, but I find people lionizing their ethnicity as somehow world historically special a sad genre. People needing to look back at their 'ancestors' (these monks didn't leave any descendants) to feel good about themselves is kind of pathetic. Especially when the whole reason they are doing it is that their ancestors in the recent past were so pathetic.
