It’s crazy how many white-looking people I see calling themselves indigenous in places like Canada and Australia. They use their dubious identity to claim prestigious roles and awards, like - have you no shame? And is anybody else seeing this shit? Like can you not see how pale this person is? Some of them even have blue eyes ffs
We need genetic testing for this sort of thing going forward. Native ancestry of 50 percent or greater or no dice

I feel good but also way more irritable and annoyed after doing cardio. Kind of a weird mix of feelings

Chait is treated with hostility because he’s one of the activists. He’s there to argue against conservatives doing anything at all to try to win back cultural power. I see this so often with centre-right figures, who just want conservatives to be a liberalism going the speed limit. It’s how we got into the current predicament.

China being self sufficient on food? Okay I can safely dismiss you as knowing nothing about China. They import close to 80 percent of their food and their strategic grain reserves are mostly spoiled thanks to corruption (a major problem across their entire economy, government and military much like Russia). China is just as vulnerable as Taiwan and would get absolutely destroyed by a blockade due to total dependency on food and energy imports

China is the world's biggest importer of corn and soybeans. In the last couple of years, the country has also emerged as one of the top importers of wheat.
This trend doesn't bode well for a country aiming for food self-sufficiency, especially when its agriculture sector is decades behind the west in terms of modernization.

Overland? You do realize the insane logistics of trying to get food across an entire continent as large as Asia all while fighting a war would be? There’s a reason why all major cargo is transported via ship. Costs would be astronomical otherwise.
China does not create much “luxury food” either. Their main animal products are seafood, good luck fishing when all your boats have been confiscated

I see it more as anti-status quo bias and being prone to anti hierarchy bias. Who benefits from wokeness? Anyone who is lower on the socioeconomic totem pole. You can also benefit as a straight white male by showing wokeness, since it makes you seem generous and humble (although obviously there is a limit where too much wokeness damages you)

Agreed that that is a wrinkle in my theory but I think class needs to be set aside here. Wokeness is not about advocating for those in poverty or the working class, but for other so called marginalized identities.

I would say women are lower on the totem pole than men, traditionally speaking, so that’s why they find wokeness appealing. It provides a means to self advocate in order to gain sinecures like what you’re talking about, despite being obviously less productive or useful.

My buddies who are uncut, overall, wish they had been.
I seriously doubt this, given how easy it is to get this done as an adult. Maybe they’re just trying to spare the feelings of their cut friends who have no recourse. Cognitive dissonance does strange things and once you realize you have zero ability to get something it suddenly makes you okay with having a chunk of your genitals missing.
Nobody I know remembers being circumcised, but uncut buddies have an uphill battle getting laid.
Speaking as an uncut guy with >40 partners in their history, el oh el.

Historically we have seen this already. Indigenous identity exploded from the 1960s when it was less than one percent of Canadians to 5 percent in the 2000s. While indigenous do have large families, at least some portion of that increase was white Canadians deciding to embrace their mixed race ancestry as making them indigenous (comes with huge advantages in Canada $$$)
