Where’s the lie? Journalists today are indeed almost all activists. They should be treated as such until their profession wakes up
Chait is treated with hostility because he’s one of the activists. He’s there to argue against conservatives doing anything at all to try to win back cultural power. I see this so often with centre-right figures, who just want conservatives to be a liberalism going the speed limit. It’s how we got into the current predicament.

Well, yeah. The vast majority of social scientists are actually just activists who use their profession to push their political agenda forward. This wasn’t always the case, but the trend has always been there and it’s accelerated to the point that these departments are completely taken over, and quite frankly need to be burned to the ground before any real science can once again take place

Apparently there’s been a big drop in conservative support for gay marriage, all in the space of a year.
I think this says a lot, mainly because it’s a point I see brought up by a lot of the blackpillers in this community “look, look - even conservatives support gay marriage now, there’s no stopping progressivism”.
Well, what now? Apparently the left has pushed too hard and too fast and it’s turning the GOP away. Being LGBT isn’t seen as some harmless thing anymore, especially when it seems being “tolerant” means accepting gay drag nuns on crucifixes. The parodies are no longer a parody, and grooming children to accept gender ideology seems rife in schools even in deep red states.
Recently I read about a Muslim city in america voting to ban the pride flag. This is just one example of the incoming shift and realignment being forced by progressive extremism becoming more forcibly mainstream

It’s mostly jealousy I think based on the source. Aella is thin and has made a ton of money, they view this as her relationally bullying her fat female peers. What I’ve observed online, women really, really hate other women that put women down in regards to their weight/appearance. It’s probably the worst thing you could do, it appears, especially if you yourself are higher status (pretty/thin). Most women sense this intuitively and behave accordingly, but Aella is… a special case. I think she lacks this sorts of social awareness.

I’ve sometimes heard that the left wing takeover of corporate America is a hollow one - they don’t REALLY cars about minorities, just look at umm their Middle East twitter accounts! They care about $$$ and aren’t true believers

This is what a corporation that has no idea what their audience is about, but does in fact know clearly what it’s ideology is about.
I’ll summarize the link but you really should read it for yourself, it’s astounding how bad Disney gets the Star Wars franchise: for instance, the books need to be (in addition to all the old touchstones of diversity etc) ANTI WAR. And then there’s the characters, who are somehow all androgynous.
The sales figures reflect an enormous lack of interest of enthusiasm. But it doesn’t matter for Disney - they get to spread the Good Word of gender ideology and anti fascism/anti traditionalism.

Anyone else suspect that Apple and Google are going to collude to kill Twitter by removing it from their app stores? Apple is already deleting their accounts on twitter. Seems like they are setting the stage. The Cathedral cannot tolerate a competitor to their stranglehold on social media it seems

So the Lancet commissions most recent report seems to finally acknowledge that the lab leak hypothesis is both legitimate and calls for action to prevent any future lab leaks
Of note they also state that the lab leak could have occurred in America, not China. Is this due to CCP influence within the Lancet? Or is this legitimate possibility? My intuition is that it’s the former. I’m glad they are at least finally admitting that the evidence exists for it.

I would give you my take but I’m very unsurprised. Glad that this information is now official however. If they thought they couldn’t control information before, they’ve completely destroyed any lingering trust now. Everything is now suspicious.

There’s a reason why it’s called the Standard Social Science Model. Genetics is assumed to play no role in behaviour, contra all evidence in nature. This is what the best and brightest at Ivy League institutions believe, deeply, and they will brook no disagreement, which is automatically assumed to be racist, sexist, transphobic, etc
There’s this myth of progress, that we humans are getting smarter and better al the time. Rationalists fall hard for this type of belief, yet they ignore all the signs of societal decay everywhere. The effective altruists are even worse - they misunderstand where the true threats to societal progress stand “ooooh its malaria! It’s HIV! 🤓” the quokkas in the end discredit themselves both in their foolish and naive attempts to improve things and their shrinking cowardice at pointing out obvious truths

Does anyone else find it interesting that despite going through a momentous era of nation wide protests through BLM, Covid lockdown protests, etc. there’s been very little in the way of protest music produced by the culture? This may just be the function of my being mid 30s and being out of touch, but unlike the 1960s-70s which produced some amazing protest music (bob dylan, Nina Simone, Beatles, etc) there’s been…nothing of any note these days. Feels like a cultural wasteland tbh
Is this the youth being a much smaller generation now? Is music too corporate now? Or are the youth simply more conformist and love authority?

Can someone steelman why “pride” is still necessary? Seems that you can be gay, bi or trans and it’s more than accepted - there’s a huge increase in kids claiming lgbt status so if there’s stigma it’s not apparent anymore. At what point does it make sense to call a moratorium for social movements that have lost their purpose? What are the “victory conditions” for what homophobia is considered no longer a major issue?

We actually already have pretty good evidence which option works best here. Economic analysis shows that the productivity of high ability people goes up almost exponentially when in close proximity to other high ability people. This is an example of what is known as a “network effect” the flip side of which is when we put antisocial criminals together in a prison we accelerate their criminality. Like attracts and works best with like.
According to these principles diversity is a major obstacle to innovation and productivity. No one demanded that the Manhattan project be more diverse. Somehow a highly homogeneous team of male Hungarian Jewish geniuses pulled off major innovation, if DEI existed back then we would probably have never developed the bomb.
Anyway, hence we need high ability people together to get the most out of them. That’s if you actually care about society as a whole and not myopically focused on the welfare of a few antisocial criminal underclass cultural groups.
Is there a black owned search engine we can switch to instead of Google?
