My impression is that you object to not just Jewish ethnic identity, but Judaism as a religion. Is there any way Jews could "assimilate" into American society without completely abandoning their religion? And why doesn't this standard also apply to, say, Catholics?

No, they definitely were not. Most Slavs were planned to be exterminated. The Nazis were even surprised at the number of Poles who looked "Aryan", and assumed that all of them were really just Polonized Germans.

I think they're saying not that pre-"White" Iberians were not "White", but that the modern Iberians have some admixture from non-"White" groups. And it is true that there is a lot of North African and even some sub-Saharan African admixture in southern Iberia.

Not a direct measure of quality, but I would expect it to be correlated: the number of different users participating. My concern is that the long tail of normal people didn't make it in the migration, and only the insane people are left.

IMO a large part of the reason social media platforms outmoded message boards is that provided lurkers and semi-lurkers a "no effort" way of showing content creators that people were seeing and appreciating them. There are obvious downsides but messing with the DNA is dangerous.
Did you leave out a word or two here? I'm not sure how message boards provided lurkers a way of showing that they liked a certain post. You're referring to traditional linear forums, right? Some of them provide an upvote feature or even upvote/downvote, but many don't.

There was a great comment on the Motte (or perhaps even SSC, it was that long ago) in which the husband of a schoolteacher opined that his wife had noted that it was almost never the prettiest girl in class, or the handsome football player, who came out as trans. A cursory glance at trans forums and even, occasionally, at the writing of trans people online makes clear this is the case. The "incel to trans" pipeline is widely noted, and we might add the "ugly girl to trans" pipeline to it.
Could there be a confounding variable here, i.e. someone uncomfortable with being a man/woman might not be comfortable with putting effort into looking more attractive, as it usually means looking masculine/feminine? Or are these people really irreparably ugly?

Presumably they meant "with no foreign accent", i.e. with one of the many accents native speakers of English have.
They are in the UK! Both the American and the British pronunciation are approximating the original Spanish; neither is truly "correct".
