Taking Warren's $12 million net worth estimate at face value, this website calculates her wealth as being in the 98.5th American percentile. I guess she can still reasonably claim to be fighting against "the 1%"
Fair enough, I'll have a look.
ETA: I've watched the video. That such money would come as a release of frozen assets rather than a direct transfer from the US doesn't seem like a particularly important distinction. In either case, it's $300 billion that Iran didn't have access to previously and now would (hypothetically).
As soon as Trump turns on Israel the Democrats will have the Jews back in their good graces.
Not gonna happen. Even if the party elite wanted to make them welcome again, Jew hatred has become too entrenched among their base (and is non-negotiable for their Muslim voters).
Nah, this is buying too much into Iran's pseudo-mythology. Defeating Iran would be orders of magnitude easier for the US than something like beating Japan in WW2, even without using nukes (the most trivial method would be to destroy their energy, oil and water infrastructure, which Iran couldn't do anything about as they have functionally no airforce or air defense). The obstacle to doing this is convining the US public to make the necessary economic sacrifices for the sake of this project.
There seem to be rumours floating around that the US is going to pay $300 billion into some vague "redevelopment fund". If thats the case then Iran might come out in the black, so to speak.
Nope. I've seen a lot of people say it's not as good as his Hierarchy series.
Presumably it would be just another partisan issue? The left (and most of the media) would support it, the right would be against it, and swing voters would see it as just another ethnic conflict?
I think it's notable that Trump has no reduced the credibility of statements of foreign policy from POTUS to the point where we all agree collectively that they aren't worth discussion.
"The Art of the Deal"
I've been reading the Hierarchy series by James Islington. The first book, The Will of the Many was great: full of flaws, but the things it does right it does so well that the problems basically fade away. The sequel, The Strength of the Few fumbles the ball hard, unfortunately, so much that I'm not sure how much interest I have in the rest of the series (next book scheduled to come out in 2027).
I'd be a software developer, like I am now.
Or maybe it's his age?
Ah yes, they've been here from the start.
It would be funny to start using this argument in reverse. Vikings discovered part of America a thousand years ago, so naturally Europeans have been in the Americas "since the start". There are even rumour of Jews in ancient Israel!
Is there any indication Trump is a remotely competent negotiator?

Unfortunately, knowing the UK, I'm fairly sure "violent-offense" would quickly be redefined to mostly mean "people posting non-governmental approved memes on social media".
That makes sense. I agree with you though that this seems like a reason to streamline other parts of the process; having violently criminals just wandering around seems like a pretty blatant societal failure mode.
being out on bail for a different stabbing at the time.
This isn't really addressing the core of your post but something I don't understand is why so many legal systems seem to allow clearly dangerous people like this to be allowed out on bail. What's the argument supposed to be?
Wasn't this part of why the Romans were always on campaign? War redirects the energies of restless young man with little stake in the existing order.
