I've never heard someone say so little, so eloquently. He's a treasure.
I feel assaulted every time I have to listen to him talk, so I can see where these women are coming from... In all seriousness, I don't see why the general public needs to have an opinion about this. If there's evidence, let him be prosecuted and then give his side of the story in court.
This is an obnoxious post. The people who show up on time every day for low status jobs and don't otherwise commit crimes are net positive for any society. On top of that, you seem to slide rather easily between "bad for society" and "bad people". These aren't the same concept, and I'm not entirely convinced the latter even exists.
What city?
Yea, you're exactly right.
According to the great moral leader Sam Bankman-Fried,
I don’t want to say no book is ever worth reading, but I actually do believe something pretty close to that…If you wrote a book, you fucked up, and it should have been a six-paragraph blog post.
Sounds like something someone hopped up on speed (or its legal pharmaceutical equivalents) most of their life would say.
I think there's more than a little evidence. Maybe the single strongest piece is Jar Jar's lip syncing to other characters talking:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=NvyPYQ4BtZQ
Jar Jar's lips were animated on purpose, and not a motion capture. In addition, there's lots of little little things that /u/Lumpawarroo didn't mention in his reddit post. Any individually are not that indicative, but taken as a whole are quite suggestive. I'm fairly convinced.
Edit: @basalisk_respecter has the right link.
If you hold the authority of the Bible to be true, which it is
I think you're begging the question here. If @Conservautism believed the bible were true, he wouldn't have explained why he's now an atheist. You need to explain why the Bible is true (the weaker part of your case) rather than why the truth of the Bible implies that God exists, which you spent a rather unnecessary number of words on.
I've found it to be great at figuring out the name of something you vaguely know about but don't know enough to start searching. I would never trust anything it says without verifying somewhere else first because it completely messes up at least 2-3% of the time, so it's only useful as an idea generator and not trustworthy enough for any production task. That said, many times it's given me enough clues for what keywords to search for that it's helped find primary sources.
A better editor would have helped, yes, but IMO the critical flaw in the Prequels was that George Lucas originally intended for the Big Bad Guy to be Darth Jar Jar Binks. The theory is that he chickened out when he saw the overwhelmingly bad fan reaction to the character in The Phantom Menace. But ironically the only thing that would have redeemed the character and the whole trilogy is if this bumbling idiot was just a Kaiser Soze-esque mask for Palpatine's master. Cowardly scrapping that left Episode II without a memorable villain.

the fact it has never been shown to work on any animal, for one

Perhaps you think rotifers and tardigrades are not central examples of animals, but animals have been brought back to life after being frozen.
Let's not casually talk of violence when a writer hasn't thought as deeply about an issue as you.
They don’t need your DNA. They need your distant relations’ DNA. See how the police caught the Golden State Killer.
At the third sentence, I was leaning strongly towards fake. No one self-describes as having a weak chin. But my priors are rather high that all of these subs are filled with creative writing exercises and wish-fulfillment. If you're going to read these subs, you have to suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride or there's no point in bothering.
It might be an interesting question if the typical American isn't a trainwreck appearance-wise. Without objective data backing up the comparison, this comment is just "boo outgroup".
After Ken reaches Kenlightenment, he immediately uses Facts and Logic to convince everyone in Barbieland that patriarchy is superior to all other forms of government. All of the Barbies agree to live under this system, but Ken worries that they may change their minds. And so, after the Kens are put in charge, they schedule a vote to change the constitution so that no woman can ever hold a position of power again.
Is this absolute insanity actually a part of the movie? You write as if it’s a plot summary, but no studio could actually film this, right?
Healthier for you, worse for society. Obviously.
... because of hostility to religion.
Maybe, but I think you need to show more work here for your conclusion? Eucharist involves taking off a mask and eating something that someone hands to you or places directly in your mouth. Even pre-COVID, I remember thinking this was not particularly sanitary. A secular gathering might not involve taking off a mask at all. The risk profiles are different. And while terrible, the pandemic gave people a stake in others' private sanitation habits. (Whether or not you think that stake thereby gives the general public the right to restrict behavior, the stake exists.)
There's a link to the context right below the comment. I read the context on almost every comment I janny. (Make sure to open it in a new tab.)
At some point I want to set up better incentives for long-time volunteers
Please don't. I janny because this is a one-of-a-kind place on the Internet and it needs support if it's to survive. I'm sure other jannies feel the same way. The people who would janny for external validation are exactly the people you don't want doing the job.
Are you having a hard time recruiting jannies? That's the only scenerio where I think any kind of incentives might be a good idea. Are you willing to share numbers?
On a related issue, you mentioned that you are tracking how closely the jannies' ratings match the mods'. Would it be possible to give the jannies periodic feedback on how good of a job they're doing, such as when a moderator rates the same post? Personally, I want to become better at it, and the surest way is with frequent feedback.
If momma is mentally ill, the game is over already. This is not the legal system's fault.
When two parents split, one parent must have ultimate authority over the kid. For well and good reasons, this is usually the mom. For there never to be an bad outcome like this, courts have to be able to divine who is sane with 100% accuracy, which is obviously impossible.
Yea, with a small number of people they know well, not literal strangers.
I think you're way off base in the motives you impute to the lawn-lovers. It's not the lawn itself, or the conspicuous consumption it implies -- it's not being forced to live literally and figuratively on top of other people like the teeming masses of humanity in other countries. I've lived like that in the past. It's oppressive and not the way humans were meant to live. You need to have some distance from other people.
The benefit to the women is that they get to have kids with a higher quality man than they'd otherwise be able to get commitment from. It's a solid sexual/evolutionary strategy, which is why the drive exists.
