What did you mean by medium range slash/wave attack?

I've put it on my longsword and it seems to just get activated by a L2 slow-ass slash? Seems like it can only be used for opening combat, would be too slow to enable in mid combat. I don't see a wave?

Every time you use the art, it should send a wave of energy for maybe 5 metres. I think with a shorter buildup time if you chain them.

You were right, it does send a pretty powerful golden wave attack a few meters forward! This is a great Ash.

Right? And from the sound of your other messages it sounds like you’re ready to take on Stormveil.

Stormveil: Margit turned out to be easy, thanks in part to Rogier the Sorcerer. I felled this "great enemy" on the first try. The assholes inside the castle have given me a lot more trouble. I've died five times and I'm probably not even halfway through. Found three sites of grace so far. That huge knight in the locked room killed me twice. This is a difficult place to get through. :P

Worth it, though. Trust me.

I'll re-check against a group of enemies.

Did notice it was considerably quicker to take down one of those white giants when using this Ash though.

What is this place?

Why are you called The Motte?

A motte is a stone keep on a raised earthwork common in early medieval fortifications. More pertinently, it's an element in a rhetorical move called a "Motte-and-Bailey", originally identified by philosopher Nicholas Shackel. It describes the tendency in discourse for people to move from a controversial but high value claim to a defensible but less exciting one upon any resistance to the former. He likens this to the medieval fortification, where a desirable land (the bailey) is abandoned when in danger for the more easily defended motte. In Shackel's words, "The Motte represents the defensible but undesired propositions to which one retreats when hard pressed."

On The Motte, always attempt to remain inside your defensible territory, even if you are not being pressed.
