The Wednesday Wellness threads are meant to encourage users to ask for and provide advice and motivation to improve their lives. It isn't intended as a 'containment thread' and any content which could go here could instead be posted in its own thread. You could post:
-
Requests for advice and / or encouragement. On basically any topic and for any scale of problem.
-
Updates to let us know how you are doing. This provides valuable feedback on past advice / encouragement and will hopefully make people feel a little more motivated to follow through. If you want to be reminded to post your update, see the post titled 'update reminders', below.
-
Advice. This can be in response to a request for advice or just something that you think could be generally useful for many people here.
-
Encouragement. Probably best directed at specific users, but if you feel like just encouraging people in general I don't think anyone is going to object. I don't think I really need to say this, but just to be clear; encouragement should have a generally positive tone and not shame people (if people feel that shame might be an effective tool for motivating people, please discuss this so we can form a group consensus on how to use it rather than just trying it).

Notes -
A lot of people (family, friends and acquaintances) have said I'm autistic, but I've never been formally diagnosed.
Sounds a little like me. There's probably no way to fix it, and one should just enjoy when things are good. I think this kind of excessive self-introspection is a bad idea and makes things worse (has anyone actually meaningfully improved their lives with this sort of self-psychologisation?)
This happened a lot to me as a teenager. I still do have these "swings", but I believe in HBD now, so even when I'm relatively "normie", my worldview lies firmly outside polite society (but sometimes my thinking becomes even more "extreme" and kind of paranoid)
Yes, I also experience this process. I guess it is adaptive - as you say it reduces stress.
I have some beliefs that I believe too strongly to ever have them "normfied out" even temporarily (specific beliefs censored because it's the Wellness thread)
As for others I just accept that they will temporarily slip out of the mind when in prolonged human presence. And, like, that's just part of being social I guess (but the positive side is that it can be a kind of holiday from things that are making you anxious or paranoid)
And as @problem_redditor said, the motte helps a lot.
