Okay, I think I misremembered the result. 16 is the age at which the percent of men who would say yes to casual sex passes the 50% mark.

I should note that this data cannot conclusively actually say when peak physical attractiveness occurs, because it's not really rating the strength of attraction of each individual, it's just a binary yes/no and then averaging over men. So late 20s will result in the greatest access to male attention from the set of all men (including older men), but it's still consistent with young adult women being more attractive among the subset of men who are also young. It also doesn't rule out older men thinking they are physically attractive while still turning down sex with them for social/emotional reasons (even in an anonymous survey).

What is this place?

Why are you called The Motte?

A motte is a stone keep on a raised earthwork common in early medieval fortifications. More pertinently, it's an element in a rhetorical move called a "Motte-and-Bailey", originally identified by philosopher Nicholas Shackel. It describes the tendency in discourse for people to move from a controversial but high value claim to a defensible but less exciting one upon any resistance to the former. He likens this to the medieval fortification, where a desirable land (the bailey) is abandoned when in danger for the more easily defended motte. In Shackel's words, "The Motte represents the defensible but undesired propositions to which one retreats when hard pressed."

On The Motte, always attempt to remain inside your defensible territory, even if you are not being pressed.
