I mean in my experience it's more 'people are increasingly doing the vast majority of their dating through the apps' which is then triggering a bunch of stuff like what would classically be called the 'Alpha Widow' situation in which a lot of the female POVs I'm seeing are of women miscalibrating their own value in the dating sphere, getting played a few times and then settling into '#AllMen' and taking their frustrations out on the lower-tier guys who they're in a position of relative power over.
I'm also seeing a lot of people just kinda failing to launch on relationships and only starting to really pursue anything in their mid twenties and having no idea how the game is played. I'm married now to a woman who I met off the apps, but I had more than enough instances of 'awkward date with a girl with literally no experience who's treating it like a HR process' to know that's its own universe of frustration and nothing happening.

Committing violence, especially as a member of a tribe that isn't constantly inundated in low-grade violence, is very hard to actually bring yourself to do. Look at the Zyzz ICE ambush where they shot like once each and then immediately surrendered, that's how capable the vast majority of people actually are of violence. People who actually go that far (and even this guy fairly immediately surrendered instead of going out in a blaze of glory as he'd probably have expected of himself) are inherently very rare.
There, on the other hand, will always be a way-larger supply of stupid blowhards and/or people who might be willing to try a driveby shooting. The fact that Trump's actually getting sufficiently riled up people to get a decent supply of honest-to-god assassination attempts is reflective of the current moment of radicalization.

Yeah. This and the Trans thing I feel a certain 'there but for the grace of god go I' where I might not be on the same trajectory, but I see this guy and the average MtF and see sufficient overlap in personal characteristics to be able to put myself directly in their shoes and wish there were less landmines for the intelligent, moderately-autistic man of today. Whilst this guy is obviously the far outlier in terms of having enough agency and drive to actually attempt a political assassination, it's not hard to see how one could get stuck in a state of such absolute torpor and ennui in modern life.

You can look at the NBA and realize there are a lot of them.
Pro sports feel like they overindex on them since a bunch of professional athletes of Afro-American extraction seem to be far more likely to marry white and their children are overwhelmingly more likely to achieve professional athlete status. Also the sheer expense and requirement for resources to make top tier sports these days seems to be reflected in the absolute poorest populations not producing as many professional athletes unless they're just such massive physical outliers as to be undeniable.

As somebody from a country with very low levels of Civilian gun ownership and who has fired a firearm like... three times maybe in my whole lifetime which was cool to tick off but not some profound experience I need to revisit. I get the nominal self-defense argument, but I also feel like widespread gun ownership in the USA has a bunch of secondary and tertiary effects creating a loop of 'there is more violence since people expect guns to enter encounters since people expect more violence'.
If I'm personally exceedingly unlikely to own a gun I'd rather be in a disarmed society since IMO PR(Random encounter happens where somebody else belligerent is armed who wouldn't be otherwise) is significantly greater than PR(Random Encounter where I both have a gun and have an occasion to use it prosocially to successfully defuse something)

Also I'm sure it's worthwhile to run the simulations but I don't think there's some superhax geniusbrain strategic approach that's going to render the potential invasion of Taiwan an easy and non-costly war.
Also creates the modern problem where massive expansion of University placements means that a lot of roles that should really need the ability to read and something of a pulse suddenly need a 3 year degree since there's such an oversupply of 3 year degrees.
