Strangely, several of the very covid-cautious places I've frequented relaxed their mask policy because the vibe was that the most assiduous maskers were white middle class people and that requiring masks for all was alienating others.

Hm. You could argue a similar version about zoonosis.
Not only should the world force China with sanctions to forbid wet markets, the west should move away from poultry to prevent the next bird flu dangerous to humans. In fact to lower (eliminate!) risk of zoonosis we must embrace veganism! Instead I encounter that only as a minor talking point in vegan activism (if at all).

Benefits are opaque. How much does the colleague with four kids get with tax credits or child benefits for this and that program? No idea. Instead reverse the positions: tax and penalize having few children. Print on the tax return every year the extra malus one has to pay into social security. Make childless people fill out annoying and complicated forms to get a small tax return (while people with +3 children are getting them by default), instead of making families fill out forms to get benefits.
Also do DEI/affirmative action for people with children. The state should hire/promote for public servant positions the person with more children (would be counter to meritocratic idea, but the state is not trying to be efficient anyway). Let the intelligentsia compete for prestigious leadership positions/sinecures by having the bigger family first and education inflation second.

Because he is a successful boomer man and it was tongue in cheek, because you can make every joke when deprecating yourself or “punching up”. (And of course it is assumed that the patriarchy rules).
The same reason 2 years ago the question “Would you rather be stuck in a forest with a man or a bear?” did go viral because most women chose the bear. Rephrased to “stuck with a bear or a black man?” yields the opposite answer though which reveals that this is conflict theory and not mistake theory.
Someone taking reasonable measures to not produce a baby has not signed up for baby-making.
What if someone is taking unreasonable measures though?
Contraception is very safe and not difficult, but still there were 1.1 million abortions in the US last year (a third of births). That high a number is only possible to me if people are self-sabotaging their measures (“just the tip”).
Then why don't humans have a 24/7 365 fertility window. Other animals have it.
I don’t think there are any animal species, certainly no mammals, who have this trait.
But your argument surprisingly does check out, as human men (and all male apes) are in fact 24/7 365 fertile! Following your reasoning this explains that male sexuality is indeed all about reproduction/impregnation. But female sex is not (or only around a sixth as much). Which explains much about sexual customs and men/women.

Regardless I am pretty pro-choice from a fairly radical bodily autonomy perspective.
Funny, from the same principle I believe the reverse: „Every child wants to be born“; the body of another human being is harmed (well, murdered) -> This is anathema.
I don't have strong opinions. But people think Tommy Robinson is a fascist, so DHH going on his march is guilty too.
