Nearly 3,000 soldiers were killed between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. – all because the Allied commanders refused to end the fighting immediately. Instead of letting the war end as soon as the papers were signed, they decided that the war had to officially end at 11:00 a.m., supposedly to give the news time to spread. In reality, it was a decision based on pride – a final show of force against a beaten enemy.

Wickard v Filburn is insane mental gymnastics, but in the politics of its time it makes sense: Every farmer wanted regulation to prop up stable prices and Filburn defected (always hated). Wheat couldn’t be exported as world prices were much lower. Congress was seen as doing their job and any other decision by the court would have been seen as head-in-clouds-lawyers screwing up a common sense solution, that is why the decision was 9-0.
A constitional amendment would have been cleaner

This is so fucking primal that you see fashion Heiresses getting knocked up by sexy felons and a literal Rothschild leaving her husband to date a rapper.
Looked both up as the links were a few years old:
Chloe Green does have a son with Jeremy Meeks, but they soon separated. She now has a second child with a successful businessman who is not as tall, is white, without tattoos and has a dad body.
And Kate Rothschild has a baby with a (lot younger than her) soyboy environmental activist.
The hot criminal seems to do ok. He doesn’t have a superstar career, instead a bit of modeling and acting in cheap D-Movies, but a quick search doesn’t find any scandals or unhinged drug stories. I found a recent interview where he sounded normal and self-reflected.
The rapper Jay Electronica was for a time a mysterious wunderkind star, but he never delivered (people waited a decade for his first lackluster album). He made the news a few years ago for this banger verse:

And is really really really well written! I read last week the easthunter substack about this topic (which is also linked by Scott in his post) and I got totally lost halfway through. But Scotts strength is to communicate complicated topics clearly. And he makes his opinion visible but still gives room for the other side without snark.
Exceptional blog post! Must have been a ton of work and I was not suprised that at the end he thanked a few other (presumably very smart) people who helped.
Your logic is confused.
The majority of US states are (still) allowing underage marriage (age 16 or 17) if a parent or other legal guardian consents, but that doesn’t mean that parents can legally force a marriage against the will of their child.
Or if in a restraining order a judge forbids you to get near someone, that doesn’t give the judge the power of an “anti-restraining order” where you must stalk someone.
There are many (state) law exemptions making underage drinking legal when provided or in the presence of a family member. But that doesn’t mean your parents can legally force you to get black out drunk.
If my rent contract specifies that I am not allowed to paint walls black, that doesn’t mean my landlord can force me to paint the walls white. That would need to be another term in the contract.

Create & run the Migration Job • Go to Migration Jobs → Create Migration Job in Project B.
- Name your job.
- Source: select the connection profile from step 4.
- Destination: choose an existing or let DMS create a new Cloud SQL instance in Project B.
- Connectivity: pick Private IP and select the private connectivity config you made in step 3.
- Type: choose One-time (initial load only) or Continuous (CDC + initial load).
- Test, then Start the job. 
DMS will do an initial data copy over the peered VPC, then (if you chose Continuous) apply changes in near real-time.
- Cut over to the new instance • Once the initial load is complete and lag is minimal, stop writes on the source, then in the DMS job click Promote. This switches your application to the target instance in Project B.

Is it wrong?
Call me a dirt poor europrole, but I would rather get $480K (plus interest/stock increases) when turning 18 years old, instead of my parents paying half a million for Duolingo.
It tickles the mind though how education could be disrupted/advanced by modern tech.
Or maybe it is not so important after all? One comment on the blog claimed that Finland and Japan have similar PISA scores, despite Japan/Asia being famous for forcing children to grind obscene hours for school.
