I mean, the response to their children actually being killed by migrants is "I wish that my son was killed by a 60-year-old white man." The body bags are already quite literal and it doesn't even make them pause. The UK could be openly talking about using the war to eliminate the remaining population of young white men to prevent "incel terrorism," and do you think the public would bat an eye?
I guarantee every German politician right now is thinking "wow, Ukraine fed every single one of their right wing nationalist young men feet-first into a meat grinder, and nobody complained. I bet we could get rid of all the AfD supporters too! Shipping a problem population out east to be exterminated is genius, nobody would ever call us Nazis again!"

So I've been alternating between animals, garden, house repair, and my "learn to code just for the fun of watching AI do it better" project.
Finally started using chatgpt to explain concepts to me, and it's miles better than my old "open 50 tabs from a Google search, try to pick through the bullshit stack exchange spam and asinine reddit begging." Things that I used to be unable to do in hours now take me only minutes to fail, which is great progress!
One thing I could use advice on is a decent coding course to explain basic concepts and best practices, before I end up creating some Terry Davis level outsider art.
So far I've just been nodding along to a few "learn JavaScript in 50 days!" type courses, but they're not great for real learning.
In solar project news, I'm finally up to the point where I can run my modem & chest freezers off-grid all year round. It's the best way I could come up with to make the backup system pay for itself.
Any more integration into my regular household usage would take a much bigger investment (off-grid AiO and transfer switch between my main and subpanel, with at least 5kwh of batts and 12kw solar to make it worthwhile). There's a time to call a starter project quits, and this is probably it.

TBF fortifying power infrastructure with bunkers isn't realistic, especially retrofitting existing ones. So the money was always intended as a slush fund for building a party member's new ski resort or something.
At my college they were doing "checkpoints" at the dining halls, asking "are you a Jew?" and hassling anyone who said yes. Leftists have a funny term to excuse the tactic, I always forget what it is. "Reflection"?

I basically don't eat beans except the occasional lentil dish. Or fruit aside from raisins, most of the year (fairly short growing season for it here). Most of it seemed to just be sugar?

I actually tried that with chatgpt last night, and it did a decent job of working me through all the stuff I'd already wasted hours figuring out. Didn't solve the chromium issue, but at least went faster than using Google.
I use Linux and fucking hate it. There's no clear instructions on how to do anything. I have hardware encoding and decoding working perfectly... Except in any chromium-based browser, and no amount of troubleshooting has gotten me any closer to figuring it out. Or anyone else on the Internet judging by Google results.
It's not even clear to me how to go about finding out how to find things out with Linux. Programs end up in random folders that can only be accessed through the terminal, unless it manages to make it into the macOS ripoff start menu which there's no button to add stuff to manually.
I was using dosbox to play moo2 the other day and CD-ing into the correct directory like it's 1989 was easier than figuring out how Linux wants you to load programs from a tar.gzb.wtf file
And oh god the audio drivers. Most of my restarts are to fix audio glitches or (yesterday) videos just refusing to play after any Bluetooth device had been connected.
My fellow forklift-american, have you ever written up details of your bulking diet? I've just been eating the same meat, starch, brassica meal in some combination for the last 20 years. Tuna salad for lunch, granola and yogurt for breakfast.
Could use some shaking up and probably a lot of optimization

On the plus side container export to China is incredibly cheap. Shanghai to LA is like $4000, the reverse is $700. If you guys have the port capacity, there's a huge market out west in the far east.
Not sure about bulk rates tbh, and a lot of Canadian exports are bulk iirc.

The Economist used to be ok, although it's gone downhill. (And wow they've even paywalled the front page, that's crazy. Never mind)
Can't recommend podcasts because I'd rather read with focus for five minutes than absent-mindedly listen to someone's propaganda for five hours. That seems absurdly dangerous for your mental hygiene imo.

I thought it was fairly well established that he was originally given a sweetheart deal retiring to the Virgin Islands because he did have a network of backups. Happens a loooot with patrons who don't keep enough leverage over a pawn they underestimated (or who got new patrons). And sometimes even what you thought was solid gold leverage disintegrates mysteriously when enough powerful people feel threatened by it, as Mr Epstein found out.
Yeah, I did the napkin math once, and it's mostly sex. Between women living longer, working fewer years, and inheriting their husbands' payments, they get a much better deal, even at the same yearly salary.
Race does make a bit of difference too, but not always in-line with actual life expectancy (technically a guy who died of a stress heart attack at 64 got a worse deal on SS than a guy who got shot at 19, because he paid in for 45 more years and still got nothing). It's the groups who regularly make their 90s that really get the best deal, which is rather unfair.

I'm just going to keep using 10 for whatever hobby stuff I need it for (mostly Photoshop tbh). I've never once had a security issue with any PC, despite always delaying and often turning off updates.
How many security threats are there for your own home system? Most of the issues I see patched are things where software already running on your PC can bypass permissions to do things it shouldn't. How many threats are there where attackers can sneak through your modem and install a keylogger whenever the PC was turned on?
