In practice mixed families do a way less strict version of it. Parents when talking only to the kids use their own language, but mostly talk in a common language if both parents are present. There's a non-dumb way to handle this.

In Chinese the word "that" is nei ge (nay guh). But Chinese people tend to not enunciate the "nay" and instead says what sounds like "nih guh". They also use it instead of "uh" or "um" as filler sounds. I once had a coworker say it a few times in a row like "nih guh nih guh nih guh" while talking to another Chinese coworker. She then saw me and laughed and said "I'm not talking about [our black coworker]." This was in the US.
Anyways I always use zhe ge (jih guh) as an alternative.

I know a few mixed race families with hapa kids. I'm in one for one thing. I've never heard of this. There are families in which one parent speaks in another language to children, but all communication involving both parents is in English; such as mine. These people are taking it way to far.
Unrelated but I find it funny that calling someone a halfsie is treated like it is racist, so instead we call half-Asians "hapa" which is Hawaiian for "half". We call them halfsies in another language and that's somehow different.

They're in the news going hard on this since October 7.
I recall how Romney and McCain were smeared as right wing extremists. The Romney campaign publicly asking the Obama campaign to please decrease the use of Nazi and fascist rhetoric and imagery to attack him.
We had moderate Republican candidates. We know the vitriol they get and how gracefully they lose. Trump didn't appeal to the center and was equally smeared as a fascist, but he got more votes than Kamala.

If someone says you hate "the US and West" they don't mean you hate the geography or natural resources. It is the people, culture or institutions that would be the objects of hatred.

Manchus and Mongolians more or less did this to China. Armies of conscripted (enslaved?) Chinese assaulting Chinese fortifications under the leadership of foreign conquerors. Mongols who don't know how to build seige weapons motivating more technically inclined Chinese people to make and deploy them.
I think auto-correct corrected away "Schelling point". But yeah, in the context of Westeros, they kind of have scheming points where all the back stabbers gather together to betray each other.

Our modern school system cannot handle teaching kids Spanish. They take years of Spanish class and no point can any of them speak Spanish. I don't think they have what it takes to teach ancient Greek.

I don't even trust most high school teachers to properly understand it
We had the littlest bit of Bible reading in my high school long ago and I recall my teacher having quite the shallow understanding.

In my high school in a blue district of a blue state we read Genesis chapter one. The King James Bible was a major influence on the written English language and is suitable for study in an English class. Which I understand is different than mandating teaching exclusively Christian theology.

I read an article about midwives in Texas writing false birth documents for Mexican babies wrongly asserting that they were born in the US. The Obama administration let this slide. Trump did not and suddenly these people are screwed. Some grew up in the US and are not legal residents.
Cell phones undergo rigorous SAR testing demonstrating that they don't significantly heat up your body tissues. I don't think this is a valid concern.
