Amen! Don’t worry, He is big on forgiveness I hear.
Basically you download their launcher, make an account and go. It’s quite easy!
It’s hard to demand obedience from your wife when she can divorce you, take half your assets, and take away your children based essentially on nothing other than her feeling “abused.”
Frankly to me this has always seemed like the most likely outcome by orders of magnitude.
Lately I’m playing on turtle wow but I’m thinking of hoping on the whitemane cataclysm server when it opens hah.
I prefer private servers because, well, free, and they have boosted xp and convenience stuff. Plus blizzard banned my account from back when I was a teen for no reason I can discern and I haven’t been able to get it back, so fuckkem.
I'm Orthodox baby!!!!
;)
Love this thank you for writing it. If you ever want to play some WoW let me know.
Did you know that Christ is risen from the dead, putting down death by death?
Yep. What he said.
The Promised argument makes it seem as if our society actually honors or cares about promises whatsoever. Social Security was Promised to never be spent on anything else. Income tax was Promised to never go above 2%.
Don't go on about Promises as if they actually mean anything when it comes to political decisions in the U.S.
They absolutely we're. Strong young successful men were at the apex of social status historically in almost every culture. What makes you say this?
The problem is that the lack of respect is there because we've made it non voluntary. You seem to see this as a good thing, can I ask if you are a middle aged man who pays a lot in taxes?
Fair I totally forgot most of the plot I have to admit. But still, Halo FEELS like one of those stories at least.
Well put, and refreshing as intended. Truly great games, and I agree with the sincerity and simplicity. I was recently thinking about this quote from the author of Redwall on how he approaches his good guys and villains:
When I was a boy, morality was taught in school and in church but I think that is no longer true to the extent that it used to be. I try to create very clear moral signposts of what is right and what is wrong. The children who read my books are generally at an age where they need to have things spelled out in 'black and white,' without ambiguity. I often tell my readers that my baddies are bad and my goodies are good. I won't have sympathetic baddies and schizophrenic goodies in my books.
I think this is the key area where modern narratives have lost the plot. Without a backdrop if simple black and white narrative, deconstructive takes just become overly meta BS. It was interesting at first, now it has devoured the platform it stood on.
Also, from a gameplay standpoint, the Forge mode and custom maps on Halo 3 was genius. In general, like with Warcraft 3 or Skyrim, when a game allows for custom maps it often goes incredibly well, and a ton of genius works get produced. I had a blast on those custom maps back in the day.
I got betrayed as heck in an early stage startup, so whatever you do make sure you don’t fall for equity cliff bs. Get your equity doled out every month or so.
Fascinating stuff, thanks for writing it all out. There is definitely some interesting evidence about the ancient giants or Nephilim. At this point I'm sufficiently skeptical of the modern historical academic consensus to believe that some whacky stuff COULD be possible, but as you say it's hard to sort the wheat from the chaff there.
Have you looked into Palladium's ancient history articles at all? https://www.palladiummag.com/2021/05/17/why-civilization-is-older-than-we-thought/
Ahh fun. Sounds profitable.
I’m a copywriter for a big e commerce tech firm. I am severely underpaid and grumpy about it.
If by masculinity you mean brutish chest thumping violence, the cage that forces men to suppress their emotions, the entitlement to women’s bodies, the urge to dominate, conquer, kill and plunder, or to have no worth except as a tool in service to others, then yes I am against.
If by masculinity you mean the bonds of brotherhood, athleticism and physical prowess, the courage to stand up for what is right, bravery in the face of danger to you and your loved ones, the need to do achievements for the good of all, to explore and discover and innovate beyond what is known, then yes I am for it.
This is my stand and I will not compromise from it.
Not asking you to compromise necessarily, but I have to say I don't think these two separate as cleanly as you seem to imagine they do. Like many things, masculine drives are a double edged sword. It can be hard to take the bad away and keep the good, which seems to be what modern feminine culture is attempting to do, and failing at horribly.
I agree that we should incorporate the best of the masculine and feminine traits in humanity. This was an ancient Christian and more broadly Hermetic ideal actually, that has been sadly lost in modern culture war.
Come play Warcraft 3 custom games with me!!! ;D
Nice! I have done a couple volunteer side gigs. What do you do?
I mean hey bro, a lot of times it makes really retarded choices!
Extremely well said, agree with almost all of this! I’d also just say it’s fun and creates great stories and rivalries etc.

Reading a recent shagbark post about how women are attracted to men who don't have bosses over 'wagies', I found myself thinking about owning a business. As as American it's obviously glorified, but I'm wondering if it's easier to own a business now than it was in the past?
Seems to my relatively uneducated mind that over time in America owning a business has in some ways gotten harder, some ways easier. Nowadays you can do the online business, make money not doing anything physical, just using your wits and social network, basically. Forms can be filled out electronically, etc etc.
On the other hand, back in the day it seems most Americans used to be business owners, especially when more rural lifestyles were more common. Folks owned farms, or a general store, and didn't really have many forms to fill out, though of course they paid (much lower) taxes.
Anyway as a somewhat half-assed tie in to the culture war - which tribe is better for business? Red tribe nominally wants to be but... they also seem to not follow through with that a lot. Blue tribe has become more kleptocratic lately. Maybe it's a tossup?
