Does anyone have any thoughts on “day of hate”? Might make post about it this week
Two months ago when this was discussed I had some thoughts:
he has a fetish that he can’t control, probably related to the idea of stealing the identity of a woman and/or her clothes […] he has a fixation on stealing women’s luggage from the airport specifically. He would not have been able to make it this far in his career if he simply couldn’t control himself with stealing any random object. This perfectly mirrors his identity as a man that likes to dress and appear as a woman, and who likes to receive attention based on the strangeness of his doing so (his interviews, manner of speaking demonstrate this).
I do think this is a worthwhile angle to dwell on. Sam Brinton is a proclaimed non-binary person (NB, or enby). People outside of gender culture would call him a weirdo. It turns out he is a weirdo in the precise way that he transgresses his gender, ie he seems to get off (as a fetish) to wearing women’s clothes that he steals, and he also makes a big deal about being non-binary (as a man dressed like a woman). This, to me, strongly indicates a pathological genesis to his enby identity. The odds of being both “naturally” a man who dresses and expresses as a woman, and being a weirdo who loves to steal woman’s luggage to wear her clothes publicly, is unlikely to have incidental discrete etiologies. I think instead that Sam’s enby identity is the result of fetish or deviant behavior as a child, maybe getting off by going into his female family’s clothing. He repeats this high by dressing as a woman publicly, but the high is greatest when he dresses in stolen women’s clothes publicly. As such, Sam’s enby expression is not some natural gender orientation or whatever, it’s instead just being a weirdo, which proves conservative gender critics correct in at least this narrow instance. If this is so, progressives need to come up with some criteria for telling apart the weirdos from the naturals. Or they need to argue why normal people have to be a non-consenting party to weirdos getting off.
The left’s monopoly over theater kids is possibly because leftist positions are the default for emotional young people who don’t know much about issues and don’t know how to do any deeper calculations. I predict any preteen without exposure to complex thinking would see homeless people and say “give them a home”, see the cost of education and say “make it free”, see a police officer doing something bad and say “no more police”, etc. Whether or not these leftist positions are true, by and large the positions happen to be the intuitive inclination of children. Women paid less on average -> pay them more. Black people were enslaved -> give compensation. Animals in pain when butchered -> vegetarian phase. Gay people can be in love -> marriage. Poor people -> pay them more. Someone has a lot -> he should share.
And so if if turns out that art kids have a highly developed emotional sensitivity (I believe this is true), but have spent fewer points in Information Acquisition and Complex Thought (perhaps this is true), then this explains why the Left would have a monopoly over theater kids. Notably, something like “I want homeless people to have home” is not just intuitive but emotionally potent, so it allows the subscriber to theatrically express their deeply-felt moral intuition about something important.
I’m thinking that the competition for selection to eg Columbia, and then Columbia engineering / pre-med, would be so competitive that everyone already has 130iq. The small difference that diet makes would then be more significant than otherwise, because everyone already has intelligence and good habits.
Was there a particularly sensitive subject matter that you were then discussing before this happened?
Affirmative action certainly harms whites, as does having a low regard for whites in total.
What do you mean “white people are obviously able to succeed”? Everyone talented is obviously able to succeed.
Over what content? Do you think the warning was issued by the authorities of a certain large Eurasian state?
White people pretty well accept it, though. They accept Asian representation without a wince and have a pathological belief that PoC make better musicians, comics and dancers. If some group, hypothetically, had a civilizationally-challenged level of narcissism that prevents fair and just grading, the issue is squarely on them.
Is there a story behind this?
There’s always going to be racial disparities because there are racial disparities in academic skill as evidenced by testing. Getting rid of honor’s classes because black and latino students do poorly is like getting rid of swimming competitions because short guys do poorly or getting rid of beauty models because fat women feel offended. It is the exact wrong way of looking at the world. The black and latino students, instead of narcissistically believing they are morally harmed, should feel gratitude that they live in a nation where smarter people live and should feel blessed that they have more capable competitors to inspire them. If there is any moral harm occurring, it is that smart students will grow up to have to subsidize the problems of dumb students. In no way do the dumb students possess moral victimhood status, IMHO.
Would a survey of the dietary habits of top-performing students at top institutions be the most conclusive answer to “what / how should we eat to maximize / optimize cognitive performance”?
It dawned on me that (1) cognitive performance tests in a lab may be too dissimilar to the “continuous” mental stress of an intense pre-med or engineering course load, and (2) there may be longterm benefits and detriments to diets that do not come out for many months. Also, (3) as academic performance in top departments are society’s largest competition, it’s likely that if there are students with a noteworthy performance benefit from nutrition that they will find their way to the top.
A married man may have hidden envy of an attractive single man, especially if he is being paid a lot. So a study must be done to compare the relative “takens seriously” of attractive versus unattractive single men, as well as men married to attractive women versus unattractive women. We may for instance find that unattractive men married to unattractive women are taken the most seriously.
The name, meme and pronoun bios made me confused (or suspicious), so I googled the username and found a lot of drama. I googled to include only PDFs just to see how far the drama extends.
PDF. Just ctrl-f username: https://www.rand.org/content/dam/rand/pubs/research_reports/RRA1800/RRA1841-1/RAND_RRA1841-1.pdf
Did you know you are cited in a RAND paper on internet extremism? They cite a post you made about Ruqqus
I think it has a significant effect on maternal stress which has a significant on obesity. The idea that women should be as stressed as men is not well thought on for humanity’s progress. And circadian changes from shift hour work will have an influence on obesity and fertility generally
I am going to do what I do every day, and that is not trust the New York Times or other institutional journalists
We will see how it works. I have a feeling it will work well once they task psychologists and not economists with the problem. You have to change the younger generation’s education and social values and their vision of the future to increase fertility.
Is a strong central authority necessary to deter the catastrophe of health and fertility?
Consider that if America wanted to reduce its obesity epidemic it would likely have to implement draconian actions like high taxation or outright bans on certain food types, reduced workplace stress conditions, incentivizing longer breastfeeding times and reducing female employment to reduce stressed mothers. If it wanted to maintain or increase its fertility rate it would need to deter or ban women from higher education, teach pro-motherhood material in public school, possibly ban certain types of media…
Any action that has a real effect on the ever-increasing problems of obesity and fertility would be essentially off the table. Our capitalism worship and our political climate forbids it. It is unlikely that there will be a magic bullet for fertility that does not include reducing female education/employment and producing natal propaganda. A state like China, however, can snap their finger and introduce policies that will certainly reduce obesity and increase fertility.
I’ve been thinking about the concept of the Trinity in Christian thought. Is it just a boring piece of theoretical theology, divorced from the lived reality of the Christian? Is there anything to be gained from meditating on the concept? And I think there is something to be gained, as follows:
In every moment of a man’s life he knows that there is an ultimate judge of his conduct, which is the higher-order faculty of mind that sees the days and months in sum. This higher order faculty is not accessible when we’re in the slogs of work and chores and cares. It requires our whole cognition and usually appears in a designated hour where we consider our life with full attention, but also appears before we sleep. We can call this the Father. For most of our hours in this life we do not access the Father, but instead we do our best to serve him, and this takes the form of the Son. The Father knows with certainty the values of patience, hard work, sacrifice, love, right attention, and has a vivid picture of our desired life. The Son, on the other hand, must attend with whole cognition to the specific instantiations of living. The mind being limited, it can never be both Father and Son. The Father may say that the grain must be harvested quickly to obtain a bountiful harvest; the Son focuses wholly on sowing the field, simply obeying the Father’s command.
The Spirit, then, the trickier element of the Trinity, is this relationship of obedience or love between the Son and the Father, emanating from both the Father and the Son.
Modern theologians might have us believe that the highly theoretical understanding of the Trinity could not be such an immediate allegorization and dramatization of our inner life, but I think this is in error.
It’s going to be a big problem if a chunk of Americans, especially healthy young intelligent people, refuse to join the military on principle, especially for filling up analytic high skilled roles. On the flip side, pro military propaganda would be a boon, because you have more high quality applicants to choose from.
IDK if this is too CW for FFT. I sometimes find myself thinking that all memes and social movements are the partial result of influence by intelligence agencies. However, I realized there’s a fun and easy disproof of this: the existence of anti-military sentiment. Memes and so on which discourage people from joining the military have been common and popular for a while, sometimes getting to the front page of Reddit. You’ll see something like “you’re only fighting for oil companies”. This is strong proof that intelligence agencies aren’t manipulating public opinion all too much, because one of their priorities should be to get more applicants into the military. So the fact that we have very little propaganda about joining the military is actually a good proof that there’s not a significant amount of government propaganda effectively targeting the populace.
With that said, I have actually noticed less anti-military sentiment memes, so maybe this is changing, who knows.
Sex-based discrimination is not commonly believed to be sexist in all cases. The existence of girls’ restrooms, the Boy Scouts, and male wrestling divisions are not considered sexist by the median American.
She wants spaces to exist according to biological affinity and orientation, by shared hormones and shared cognition. She believes that a person’s natural state dictates more of their biological affinity and thus community than the utterance “I am a woman”, which is logical.
It may be important for conservatives to talk openly about it because it pits “systemic rape” against “systemic racism”
It was the official hate day indeed, and came as a shock to many, including every single far right extremist on Twitter
