If being a "true" story about the author's hardships growing up in Haiti and smashing racism, rather than any quality of the writing, then yes I guess so...
Even for a surgical mask or something, for each breath a certain percentage of air comes through the filter and a certain percentage leaks. For high quality masks with good filter material - personally I used 3M - there is less resistance and more air will pass through the filter. Of the air that comes through the filter, most of the particles are removed.
You'll still be exposed to some fraction of the stuff in the air but it will be greatly reduced, and for many of these illnesses the chance of infection and severity of the illness can vary greatly on the amount of exposure.
I don't even think this is boo outgroup. The mainstream baddies have totally forgotten about masks. Despite this bunch of lunatics nominally being on the enemy side, they are almost a fargoup at this point, because neither main side cares about masks anymore.
I think it's more fascinating to think about why certain lgbt groups have continued to be obsessed with masks while other adjacent radical groups, such as communists, antifa, environmentalists, anti-ai, etc, have forgotten about them. It may be related to the fact that deadly transmissible diseases and body mutilation are central to their community.
It could be that for these sjw awards and stuff nobody actually reads the work, they may just performatively buy it and put it on a shelf. Same way most Nazis never read mein kampf. So I could totally buy that nobody noticed.
A lot of LLM behavior is aping humans that they trained on in the millions of documents crawled from the web, as well as novels and books. I'm sure there is a way to activate the model so that it outputs text that imitates what a human who is in pain would write, or what a human threatened with pain would write, or what an author would write for the actions of a fictional character in these situations.
Whether activating this vector really means the model feels pain is a different question. Certainly prompting the model to write a short story of the likes of "I have no mouth and I must scream" probably doesn't count as tormenting something, but RL has given the model a concept of "self" that the pain can be directed towards rather than other characters in the latent space. Is anything the "agent" says "in its own words" "what it really feels" or is the agent just playing a character the whole time, just one that's been hardcoded to be "helpful omnipotent assistant?"
The U.S. will be granted unlimited access to Greenlandic waters and airspace, both via military vehicles and commercial/public vehicles, so long as they do not significantly disrupt hunting and fishing activities.
Pretty important concession given all the European countries that cockblocked airspace usage for iran-conflict related purposes.
Did Denmark or Greenland get anything in return for all of this?
I find ai can be pretty good with medical advice, but you need to get it in the right zone with the right buzzwords like "clinical guidance", "case reports", "differential diagnosis", "treatment indicated", and "patient is presenting to the emergeny room with".
If you just start off with like "my tummy hurts" then you're gonna get really bad results, because it gets the ai in the mode of reciting pop health advice.
They should make ai output from major apis and apps have hidden unicode combining characters and major browsers and apps should display this in a slightly different slightly robotic looking font. That way you can see exactly where ai edits begin and end.
Obviously this could be stripped out easily but casual sloppers won't care
Mena migrants (including the ones putin sent to invade) will be exempt from conscription while still getting gibs. Meanwhile the few remaining indigenous young adults will be first in line to be used as cannon fodder.
segregated schooling is actually favorable to the collective or common good.
Not necessarily. I could see a strong argument that proper exposure and socialization with the normies is actually good for the supergeniuses. Of course as long as the normies are disciplined and kept in line so they don't interfere with the education process.
Since human cognitive development is highly rapid during schooling years, it's actually perfectly fine to put the geniuses in a class a few years ahead. Their cognitive abilities will actually match up quite well and the pace of the material will match the students reasonably well. Works better in US style schools where students are floating and go to the classes in their schedules.
What did you actually gain by including AI outputs in the essay text?
Sometimes your essay is better off having a part that doesn't flow perfectly. If you spent all that effort doing things by hand, why not just...not sloppify things at the final stretch? You had a workable essay and just had to install a massive flashing neon sign right on top of it that says "BY THE WAY I USED AI ON THIS ESSAY."
Even if the AI text itself communicates the point, you just associated yours with the billions of AI generated essays that have zero effort put into them. Was it really worth it?
You do whatever works for you, but I'm just making a point that there are tons of channels out there that don't do slop thumbnails. In fact it's likely a minority that does.
95% of YouTube thumbnails are AI slop now,
Not quite true. I immediately hit "don't recommend" the moment I see a slop thumbnail. Youtube still manages to deliver many reccs.
I even block formerly good creators who have begun to slop it up for some stock images in the middle of the vids. Hard rule: see ai, block channel. No exceptions. Good riddance, there are many more out there. I still spend hours every day watching human yt content.
Edit: I just checked my youtube, out of 25 top reccs, 2 thumbnails had signs of ai in any form - I consider even minor edits with gpt to be a no-go. I blocked those channels of course.
All videos on this channel are fictional. The animals, characters, locations, and scenarios shown are not real. No real rescues are shown and no animals are harmed.
The ai video has far fewer immediate tells than it did a year ago, but it's still completely obvious slop.
These channels are botted so unclear how many people truly watch them.
This does not mean that there is, in fact, a deal.
There is a deal. Prediction markets are >95% for a deal being signed.
This doesn't mean that the deal will be meaningful in any capacity, but something is getting signed.
It's unclear exactly what the US gave up in order to get these concessions
I'm betting it's a nothingburger and just a way for trump to decalre victory while greenland gives up nothing of value.
I may be too retarded to get it, but this is joke right? Just trying to confirm
had issued a fatwa against nukes
I find the repeated references to this tiring. All the while Iran continues to produce as much weapons grade uranium as they can despite the fact that it has zero peaceful uses and the immense pressure for them to stop.
It's still halfway usable on new reddit but in old reddit it's just a loginwall and nothing else
Forgive me for the skepticism but many people have made similar claims, and it turns they just built a slop factory along with a minor case of ai psychosis.
Of course hobbyists have come up with real breakthroughs too but I don't really buy a "just trust me bro" here
Saudi pipeline got blown up
Yes I believe Iran has not sunk any ships at all in this conflict. I do believe blown up is an accurate description when a ship is heavily damaged or disabled.
It's quite easy to find the names of the ship that were disabled and satellite footage that corroborates.
The Iran war is going to be one for the history books. 500 years from now they'll be memeing the Iran war like we meme the battle of Cannae now.

Democracy works.
Washington residents voted for this.
