Filet is great though. It kind of lacks the meaty steaky flavor though, and the tender texture might be offputting to some people. Goes good with some sauces or deep fried.
Worst cut is definitely something like top round.
whereas the flank steak is usually more like $27.
You might want to consider asking your friends out of state to buy you some beef and fedex overnight it to you. You'd still save money.
Even so chuck roast is generally sognificantly cheaper
I also remember $5 eggs last year, glad that's over
Wow that's way high. I can get brisket for 4.50 for no roll and 5.50 for choice right now at walmart, and can get better if it's on sale at another store. (TX)
I think overstaying a tourist visa by a few days due to unforseen circumstances or something should be treated with leniency. But this isn't that:
Many with expired visas occupy a legal gray area, as they are awaiting visa extensions or green cards and have been issued work permits. Such individuals were not prioritized for deportation in the past
... an engineer awaiting a work-visa extension, several newlyweds married to U.S. citizens, and a former au pair.
Get them all.
Agree that beef prices massively surged, especially ground beef, but somehow pork and chicken are down. I think this points at a major habbeing in the beef industry in particular, rather than generalized massive inflation.
My cope is buying whole briskets and grinding them, because somehow ground beef is now regularly more expensive than brisket.
Try to make a point using an incredibly stupid and obviously wrong hyperbole, and obviously you're going to get millions of people pointing that out.
I've been to expensive and gucci places and I think it completely loco to pay $20 for a burrito. If a restaurant tries to charge that much, literally walk out and go somewhere else. It's true though that restaurants in general have gotten more expensive though, but I think it's probably a structural shift in the labor market as well as the attitudes of young people getting food and ordering delivery. If there are suckers out there who will pay $30 for delivery of a shitty meal, then someone out there will charge that much.
In my personal IME groceries are up slightly but not enough that I really notice.
credible attempts at carbon neutrality.
You mean buying carbon credits from the lowest bidder?
In the end datacenters don't make long term jobs: to the town they're in, they're essentially inert boxes that pay taxes, similar to solar farms and many other low labor projects.
The thing is that the citizens instinctively know that if the government gets a huge windfall, $0 of that will go to helping the citizens, and it will all get wasted. I know a certain town baleeted its public transit to save 1c of sales tax, and absolutely none of the savings went to the people. The mayor spends it all on a bunch of vanity projects.
I would guess likely both candidates agree on nearly every issue except Israel
Pollution from Musk’s unpermitted xAI power project hits hardest in Black communities
Smells like political groups fishing for ways to bother elon
Tax cuts. Subsidies. Grants. Where does that money come from? The local community.
Almost all of these deals bring more tax revenue than the government services they consume, after accounting for all incentives.
maybe the outcome is that nobody bids and mamdami blames those lousy capitalists
Virginia doesn’t like them either, but they’re not under Trump’s control
Clearly virgina does like them if virginia is inviting them to stay
Coldcard Hardware Wallet Flaw Linked to $70 Million Bitcoin Theft in 41 Minutes
An attacker drained 1,196 Bitcoin addresses in 41 minutes on July 30, taking 1,082.65 BTC worth about $70.2 million at the time.
AI slop, sadly. If someone would kindly provide some original human reporting, that would be great. I don't want to read some grifter's hallucination-riddled sloppification of the original source.
Edit: Original writeup by the security researchers who discovered the vuln: https://engineering.block.xyz/blog/predictable-rng-fallback-and-32-bit-reseed-in-coldcard-firmware
Sadly, also written by ai, but I would like to think there's a distinction between a sloppified primary source a slop grift article about it.
I think it's bs. The vandal did some damage, and whether it's over or under $1000, that's a question for the jury to decide.
Broken windows and all, but just because some structure is already damaged or fucked up doesn't excuse vandals from doing more damage to it.
Filing this under nothing ever happens. Algeria might be funding seperatists but they have zero cassis belli to do a direct invasion. And victory condition would be actual invasion of heavily defended territory.
Just shows that it doesn't take being white to be able to colonize
Yeah I don't think it's anything related to the jews. It's self inflicted exactly like Joe Biden invited 10 million illegals to flood the border.
End the amnesty and deport 100% of the crossers. Then they will stop coming. More hardcore, and of course impossible in the west: a single man with a belt fed machine gun could have stopped this entire incident if given the permission to use it.
The entire site is made by a nameless grifter, likely pakistani, who pressed a button to make the entire thing. The entire site exists to fleece rubes (many more like it exist) and it looks like it's working.
These scammers buy and sell turnkey starter kits for tis kind of thing. All you need is an idea, a domain, and some gpt credits
Tyler Ziegel is one such link.
No battlefield. No explosion. Just a man worn down by years of pain—visible and invisible.
I'm fucking disgusted. Because instead of putting in a modicum of human effort to write a eulogy for this tragedy, the creator of that page opened his chatgpt and pressed a button.
FUCK YOU. Seriously FUCK YOU (directed at the creator of this slop). This is spitting on someone's grave. FUCK YOU
Edit: This entire website is just a fake ai slop site with zero content. You should know better than to link it here.
We have no evidence that mythos/fable isn't the frontier or that they have another much better model in the back.
Unrelatedly, a new user account created hours after a ban, commenting first and foremost on the ban decision has certainly a bit of a taste for me. But then, I am sure that no commentators here would ever stoop to creating alt accounts, so welcome to the motte I guess.
LMOA, and his latest comment is even more on the nose:
I know this was AI generated but maybe there should be a thread for that? Because this writing was more interesting than the rest of the thread so far.

Trump looooves h1b so there's something sus going on there. Millions of temp workers get their docs extendedbon time every year.
The rest of the cases are obvious cases of blatant fraud and overstays. They should be deported and never come back.
