A smart person who can convincingly feign interest can rob a match blind. Happens all the time, and happened to my aunt. Happening right now to my cousin.
My in-laws, now married with 2 kids, had their relationship begin at a rave. I think they went together and got closer from the joint experience, like a date. I'm unsure if an underground house party was involved, but definitely possible based on their mutual friends.
Pretty sure they don't rave anymore and discontinued the recreational drug use now that they have two babies. But the rave or maybe mutiple raves were important to the start of their relationship.
Bars are expensive and high-pressure in my opinion. After the entrance fee of a commercial rave, there's no pressure to consume mind-altering substances, unlike a bar where being dry is a social faux pas and freeloading from the bar owner and bartenders who aren't getting tipped or making money. A rave is more like a normal music concert with a strong tolerance for drugs, like you mentioned.

Seeing as how Iran supposedly tracked Trump's location in Turkey, I'm wondering why ground troops haven't already been sent to enact regime change in Iran. They don't seem likely to forgive and forget unless they can charge massive tolls per barrel.

Can you explain the history behind how a black underclass caused wokeness to develop? There are underclasses all over the world and throughout history yet underclass sympathies usually do not manifest like wokeness. Christian empathy and guilt? Idealism of some sort?
Iranian leaders probably cannot help comparing Trump to Carter, and will likely try to hurt him politically in the same way as revenge. Unlike Carter, Trump's on his second term. Midterms are probably a tempting target so they can cripple Trump legislatively.
The recent news on the Iranian backed Houthis making waves in the Red Sea and destroying oil pipelines seem curiously timed to annoy midterm voters with high oil prices.
I would not be surprised to learn that the IRGC has sworn an oath to destroy Trump even if it meant relying on his political rivals to do the heavy lifting. Carter never killed an Iranian ayatollah and they hated him.

Democracies are undermined in the long term by unassimilated ethnic or religious minorities which vote for political parties that promise them material benefits at public expense.
Some small degree of ethnic or religious differences is sustainable in a democracy, but in general democracies provide better governance with a population that has one dominant ethnicity and one dominant religion. See Taiwan, Japan, and most of the successful and stable Euro democracies.

Liberia is closer to voluntary self-deportation. I meant a two state solution in carving off multiple black belt US states and giving them autonomy except in foreign policy. Something like Catalonia within Spain.
I think the window for doing this sailed a long time ago though. It sailed, hit an iceberg, and lays forlorn at the bottom of the ocean.

I meant to include that, yes, fixing immigration first is an obvious prerequisite. It makes no sense to raise taxes to emigrate one person and then let in ten more afterwards, plus spouses and family reunification who will also be a net drain on society in one generation.

Actually a workable solution, and I'd support raising taxes to pay for this in the short term. Perhaps the self-deportation incentives were a trial run of this.
Baby steps to let the policy gain social acceptance, then we can talk about involuntarily deporting convicted offenders.

I don't dispute the contributions of Black Americans or their claimed birthright. But I dislike living near the urban blacks who commit disproportionally high rates of murder and physical violence compared to every other ethnic/racial group on earth. If the US is the birthright of blacks, they should stop treating their birthright as a diaper for everyone else to clean up for them.
And to be clear, it's not all blacks that are like this obviously, and all the blacks posting on here would probably be good neighbors. Just a statistically significant minority of blacks are ruining it for everyone, so much so that deporting all blacks becomes a latent desire.

Might be called Taiwan or Japan too. Subtract out the East Asian influences and culture and you'd get what they have approximately, a high-trust society with relatively low violence and open drug abuse.

I don't think your viewpoint is anathema here, I broadly agree and probably more than a few others too.
To add a bit, I think deportation would probably cause a second civil war of unknown magnitude and destruction, probably enough to ensure the permanent decline of the West and the rise of China. Most people would prefer to avoid sparking a civil war as they would immediately need to pay the costs upfront, with potential benefits reserved for grandchildren or great-grandchildren. Do normal people in the US, or the West in general appear capable of enduring great destruction and social upheaval for a better future? The greatest generation...we are not.

Beaides children, I think many adults might also consider continental size = importance. Many African adults, possibly. In that sense its a self-confidence boosting plan, to distract from Africa's many other problems.
Nah, male, just one kid. Maybe more in the future, maybe not. But one kid or 10 kids, not willing to risk their lives for a 10% chance of extreme wealth. We have enough material wealth to be satisfied, and could tolerate a bit less.
AI will be coming to shake things up no matter my preference. But, I wouldn't deal drugs for a living just to be more wealthy, the expected payoff vs risks are not good either.
Usually men take more risks in general as the reproductive payoff is much greater. But there's a difference in risking my own life vs the life of all my family and friends, combined. Usually men want to protect the women and babies, not put their lives at risk.

An average person with children will not take a 10% risk of death for themselves and their family if they are aware of these odds, even if it will make them wealthy. Even drug dealers and mafia will not necessarily murder the families of their business rivals if the families are uninvolved with the business.
I cook for 3, one is a baby though. I have no natural talent and often make basic mistakes even after cooking for 2 (before baby) for about 10 years. If it was just me my meals would be simpler, and I would probably eat out more because getting groceries, cooking, and cleanup is time consuming.
I prefer to cook simple meats like steaks, pork chops, and chicken thighs with minimal seasoning. Fresh meats do not last long at all before developing off-taste so I restock 2 or 3 times per week. I'll pick up some zucchini, asparagus, or broccoli when I restock meat.
An air fryer with a removeable dishwasher-safe basket is a great time saver in cleaning. It can't replace a good pan sear on meat, but sometimes you just want a lazy quick steak and it can deliver that.
I make ground beef dishes in bulk to freeze in disposable plastic containers, like spaghetti or cream pastas. Ground beef seems to tenderize and taste fine (to me) after reheating from frozen, so it is an ideal protein base for tasty and cheap frozen meals. When there's nothing to cook quickly or I'm too tired to cook, I put a premade frozen meal in the microwave for ~6 minutes and it's ready to eat.
