Well, it seems to me of the concern is about protecting minorities you do that by taking certain things out of the political process (eg bill of rights); not by how you decide the political process. Agree or disagree?

I was (and am) a heavy covid response skeptic (and continue to think the need to find a cure was for the vast majority of the population a solution in search of a problem) and saw a lot of sketchy data / science during the lockdown. What you are purporting takes the cake. Do you have a cite?

Which is interesting. When you make the political apparatus and the media apparatus two parts of the same machinery there will never be at least public review of poor choices.
While public rebuke is a nice thing, more importantly is that the right lessons are learned. One concern is that absent a public rebuke the right lessons are never learned.

Nonsensical covid restrictions caused serious harm to my kids (and ultimately caused financial harm as we changed a lot of things to get our kids out of a stifling covid environment which was really hard to find in our neck of the woods). I don’t want to sound callous but the old have always died from viruses. That is sad. I mean this sincerely that it sucks your dad died and I wish that didn’t happen (my dad died though not from covid). But the reason so many are (were?) pissed off is that we didn’t really do anything to stop those deaths; instead we just imposed harms on society and specifically the the youngest with basically zero benefit. I will have a party the day Fauci and Randi die. Hell will gain two citizens.

I’m not sure that is actually true. NY was ventilating people left and right. We learned that was probably counter productive. That is, I’m not sure the virus killed 4x the normal rate but the virus + Iatrogenesis.

It depends if you see the monarchy as merely the head of numerous states, or the head of a British state and other countries.
That is, including elements of Caribbean culture in with the British culture suggests the monarchy is ecumenically. Some in contrast see this monarchy as particularly British. Hence why some would be upset without being as it was put above racist.

Yep. That’s what people are saying. They are rooting to kill the mentally ill. Maybe the broader point is that mentally ill homeless people often cause trouble so sooner or later something like this will happen and reordering our society to cater to them is not smart.

Well, it seems you have two options.
Option 1 is remove government control of society so that minorities can rely on Beckerian economics of discrimination.
Option 2 is you have to give minorities outsized representation in the political scheme.

There is a large sizable difference between men and women.

I’m not even sure the incident happened as Ford imagined. I can imagine some guy joshing around and Ford believing X happened (ie a misinterpretation). Doesn’t make her a liar. But a woman her age should have the perspective that maybe my memory isn’t perfect and maybe the situation was a bit different than even I thought.

Civil statutes of limitations aren't put in place to protect potential defendants; they're put in place to serve policy goals determined by the state legislature. If those policy goals change the SOL can change along with them.
Every law put in place to serve a policy goal determined by the legislature. This is a banal statement. The question is “what is that goal.”
SOLs serve two purposes — one to allow finality and the second is to be able to provide an appropriate defense (ie memory and witnesses go stale).
Both (but especially the second) are in place to protect potential defendants. Thus, the goal behind the original SOL was by-and-large to protect potential defendants.

Not homeless per se, but the honeless who make life miserable for everyone else. That is, no one hates someone that lives in a shelter but is (1) either working or seeking employment and (2) trying to get out of the shelter. But the people who shit on the sidewalks, harass people on the train, etc.? Those people suck.

But it’s relatively easy to point out Biden uses his FBI not to supplement law and order but to harass political opponents which further undermines law and order.
That is, democrats politicize Law and Order at the local and federal level.
Those things aren’t about parents or the trans kids; they are about all the other kids.
It is one thing to allow a boy to pretend to be a girl. It is another thing to allow a boy into a girl’s locker room with a swinging dick and naked girls.
Ditto with sports, specifically female sports.
I think if you are framing those issues in terms of how it affects the trans person you are missing the reason behind the red state bans; it is about the effect on the non-trans person (typically girls). I guess stopping social transition is icing on the cake.
