I'm not talking about lobbying. I'm talking about Zionist Jews (sometimes with Israeli citizenship) serving in the US government at the highest levels. There is nobody like that for China yet there are who knows how many people like this for Israel. It's no shock that the largest recipient of foreign aid and the next biggest ones are the countries that recognize it. And we're not talking about just spying. What Israel does is leagues beyond that including selling secrets to its enemies. Israel and Jews are so far beyond what any other country does that it's not even comparable. So I don't even want to hear about The Squad until Israel is dealt with. Zionist Jews could start WW3, while Ilhan would just get the US in some entanglement in Africa that doesn't really matter. I think you could make a serious argument that Zionist Jews in the US government are literally the biggest threat to world peace.

Israel is the first priority. Israel spies on America and sells its secrets. It also lobbies the US to fight its wars and give it money. If Israel isn't the first priority then this whole thing is pointless. There's nobody from Taiwan or China in the US government doing this. I don't want to hear this argument until all Israeli first sympathizers are expelled from America and stripped of their citizenship. And that includes Americans like Sheldon Adelson.

Someone like this, along with the Israel lobby, is much more likely to hurt the US and get it into stupid foreign entanglements because of hi dual loyalty than anyone in the Squad.

That's a good point about Rousseau. For some reason I was thinking he died in the 1790's off the top of my head. Regardless, he lived through a pretty tumultuous time of change (The Enlightenment) where the world became something completely new in his lifetime. Plus he had to deal with persecution from the old French regime for his views.

Right now, we are at a place of polarization, yet all of our art sucks (my opinion obviously but it seems to be shared). If you look back at the last time our country was this divided in the 1960's, we saw some of the greatest output of music and literature we have ever seen. We had incredible artists like the Beatles among others. Then of course that was probably the peak of black culture with incredible artistic output that they will probably never reach again. This was probably the last time you saw many black musicians and guitarists be better than their white counterparts. If you take it back to the French Revolution, you saw some of the best political philosophy ever created such as with Rousseau. Political discord creates art and philosophy that has usually never been seen before, but today we don't see any of that. Even Monty Python is more subversive than anything we see today. Clockwork Orange was more subversive than anything we see today. Why aren't we seeing a peak in art again like the time should predict?

This Guardian article is ridiculous but seems to be the discretion leftists are taking basically calling out the motives of the people who brought attention to her fraud. The bottom line is that stuff is irrelevant and it doesn't matter if they are white supremacists or flat earthers. She's president of Harvard and a serial plagiarizer and completely unqualified for that job. The other funny thing about this is that it has nothing to do with white supremacy or white people. She was brought down by rich Zionists who were mad she didn't do enough to stop criticism of Israel and antisemitism on campus. Apparently her fraud was pretty well known and she wasn't brought down until everything that is happening with Israel since October. The best thing for white supremacists would be for her to stay in office because it shows how much of a diversity hire she was, discredits the Ivies, and it would mean they weren't cracking down on speech against Jews and Israel.
Instead of reporting on what is the actual truth is, this article makes it look like the people who want to bring her down are anti-Jewish. Somehow, these whites like Rufo have been scapegoated and Jews are the victims when it was criticism of Israel and Jews that brought her down in the first place. This is truly incredible stuff here.

When people make this argument it drives me nuts. I'm sorry, but I hope you don't actually believe this and honestly I think you are arguing this in bad faith and we should dismiss it because you aren't even arguing against what people are actually talking about. When people complain about the homeless, they aren't complaining about people who can't afford rent or have fallen on tough times. They are complaining about the insane people who scream at women and children and shit on the street or the drug addicts who have no intention of getting sober and leave used needles in parks children play at. Housing prices have no effect on these people because they either have no intention of getting a home, are too mentally ill for it to matter and need full time care, or would just use any housing you give them as a flop house to use and sell drugs at. The only way to help these people is to force them into institutions that will treat their mental illness and addiction against their will. Since you aren't allowed to do that, the only other thing you can do is to make it clear to them being homeless in your areas will suck and force them to go elsewhere.

Did the alt-right ever even exist? I remember when Trump first came on the scene and people were freaking out, there were articles everywhere and people making tons of YouTube videos about the alt-right and how they were recruiting people. Nobody ever asked the question recruiting them to what? Could you even join the alt-right?
Seriously, from what I can gather, the alt-right was basically some podcast networks (TRS) and then Richard Spencer's tiny organization. His NPI conferences had maybe 500 people. Other so called members of the alt-right like Jared Taylor had already been around for decades with American Renaissance. Even when they got together at their biggest event with Unite the Right in Charlottesville, there were barely 1,000 of them and they were vastly outnumbered by counter-protesters. And a bunch of these were old school white nationalists like David Duke who came on the scene over 30 years before that.
As far as I can tell, nobody has ever seen or heard of a gathering of more than 1,000 of them together at one time. There is no alt-right to join or be recruited to and is not an organization. It has no leader or leaders. It basically doesn't exist. The mainstream media and Democrats basically made it up either as a psyop or just convinced themselves that it exists. It's probably a mix of both. This wasn't like recruiters online targeting vulnerable Muslim kids to go fight for ISIS where you could go literally join ISIS which was an organization that actually controlled land and had an army. You join the alt-right and do what exactly? Shitpost on 4chan and post edgy memes on Twitter?
Their strongest argument probably is that there were some lone wold terrorist attacks. But there were already lone wolf white nationalist attacks before Trump like the OKC bombing. And none of the closest things to leaders of the alt-right had ever committed and violence as far as I can tell. And I would argue that the mainstream media's reporting on this issue did much more to create lone wolf shooters who they gaslit into thinking we were on the cusp of a race war and gassing the Jews than any alt-right "recruiters" did.
Am I crazy here? My theory is that the Hillary Clinton campaign saw they were a good boogeyman to scare people about Trump and then the media ran with it and people convinced themselves of something on a societal level that never even existed. It's actually insane if you really think about it.

I get the impression from her this will change once we have kids. She just sees us as having extra and wants to use it to help animals. She just falls for those emails that get sent out about emergencies. She doesn't understand they are trying to make her feel bad and take in these pets. I honestly didn't care until we got to double digits. I didn't care until she brought in double digits. Plus she's not trying to get me to take her anywhere on an expensive vacation just adopt cats and dogs.

Should I be worried about my fiance's animal love? Before she moved into my condo it was me and my one cat. I'm not going to lie here I love that cat but since she moved in she also brought in 2 cats and a dog. This isn't a huge condo just a 2 bedroom and her dog is huge. So now we have 3 cats and 1 dog.
Then she became obsessed with fostering some kittens so we added 3 kittens to the mix. Then she got a bunch of emails from the animal shelter and she convinced me to take a dog for the holidays. Then, apparently she got an email about these kittens who had no home with their mother of which there are 4 and she made an executive decision to save them. So now I have my cat, her 2 cats, her dog, 3 kittens, the dog staying with us for the holidays (which she'll probably not let me return until it gets adopted), and then the cat and 4 kittens.
She's happier than a pig in shit with all these animals posting them on her facebook and instagram. Is this normal?
I love her and plan on making her my wife. I've already told her we're not adopting any of these and they are all going to other families. Part of me loves her for her kindness and love towards beings that need help, but this is insane. Last week when I was in meetings, cats kept trying to get on the keyboard and on my compute when I was talking to the CTO of my company. I had to lock them in the room pet room to work. When she moved in she took over my "man room", but this many animals is insane. She wants multiple kids so she's not trying to replace the with animals but this pet love is insane.
We have 2 dogs and 10 cats in my condo right now. This isn't normal right? She also teaches kids math as a data scientist so she is obsessed with helping people. But I feel like there is a certain point where it's insane. Should I crack down and tell her how crazy it is with how many animals live in our condo, or should I just let it go. I'm torn on whether I love it or think she's pathologically altruistic. If I put a baby in her, maybe she'll relax.

Does anyone else occasionally feel that Christianity is real and Jesus is the Lord? I grew up somewhat Christian going to church but my parents stopped making me go around 14 and I quickly became an atheist. However, throughout my life there have been moments (very short) where I believe in Christ. Tonight was one where my fiance and I watched a beautiful choir in a beautiful church and as I held her hand I felt God. I felt Jesus and his sacrifice.
Of course, intellectually I know this is nonsense Christianity has been proven to not be true and just a superstition but there is something about it that draws me back so close to almost believing it.

One of my coworkers who is a programmer/SE mentioned to me he couldn't get any and it was affecting his job performance and we are a SV company with excellent health care coverage so it has to be real. This is in the Denver area. Like he is a top level SWE so if he can't get it nobody can.
