Do you have a dumb question that you're kind of embarrassed to ask in the main thread? Is there something you're just not sure about?
This is your opportunity to ask questions. No question too simple or too silly.

See, I can listen to something at increased speed and get the gist of what is being discussed, I just don't believe that one can listen to something at an increased playback speed and not lose some ability to reflect on and construct the meaning of the content in the process. I don't think this process is compromise free. Could I listen to the Iliad at 5x speed and comprehend the words? Sure. But I wouldn't want to because when I listen to the Iliad being read to me I want to reflect on the meaning, to experience it, to enjoy it. I guess my question for people is if you find the content so light on meaning that you have to listen to it at 5x not to get bored, why not find better content to listen to?
But anyway I was thinking about your point about video games when i was playing WoW, the only real video gaming I've ever done, and it's the same game revived 20 years later. And for some reason, there's an overabundance of Healers in all the dungeons. Used to be, tanks were easy to find, but Healers were hard to find. Tank is the masculine active dominant role in the group, the protector, the leader. Healer is the feminine, submissive, supportive role, the passenger princess. Tank means making all the decisions for the group, leading from the front, pulling, telling everyone what to do, telling the mage to slow down so they don't pull aggro. Healer means hanging around in the back, if the group goes well you barely have much to do, at most you tap out and tell everyone to slow down you can't handle that much.
20 years ago everyone wanted to tank and no one wanted to heal, so guys would get their GFs to start playing so they could find a healer. Now the queue is full of healers, and no tanks. I made a Paladin to try healing, and instead I tank all the time.
That seems like a change.
