I am now vaguely hoping you're unemployed for a whole year. Can't imagine getting to experience so many of these the first time.
You've seen many amazing recs, some I think are overrated.
I'll just drop The Homeworld Remastered Collection which is on sale for $3.49. The collection has essentially 4 games (HW1 and HW2, then the remastered versions of each).
The single player experience is really what you're looking for. While the remastered version has some mechanical issues, it does have some major QoL upgrades and is gorgeous. There's nothing else like it as far as I'm concerned. Enjoy!
