There's a mid-teens-percentage of americans who hold to maximally right wing views about every question. My hypothesis is that these are mostly the same people. These people are overwhelmingly Christians with conventional Christian views on sexual morality; the Varg Vikernes demo is a tiny rounding error.
Walt Bismarck wants to fornicate, which doesn't make him verboten among this group, but he doesn't particularly want to have to marry his partners, which does.
