During the past two or three days several cases have occurred of young children straying from home or neglecting to return from their playing on the Heath. It has always been late in the evening when they have been missed, and on two occasions the children have not been found until early in the following morning. It is generally supposed in the neighborhood that, as the first child missed gave as his reason for being away that a "bloofer lady" had asked him to come for a walk, the others had picked up the phrase and used it as occasion served. This is the more natural as the favorite game of the little ones at present is luring each other away by wiles. A correspondent writes us that to see some of the tiny tots pretending to be the"bloofer lady" is supremely funny. Some of our caricaturists might, he says, take a lesson in the irony of grotesque by comparing the reality and the picture. It is only in accordance with general principles of human nature that the "bloofer lady" should be the popular role at these al fresco performances.

British rain is absolutely horrible. It rains a lot in the subcontinent too (significantly more than London over the whole year due to the monsoon), but that rain is warm rain that brings life to the land rather than being cold, icy and thoroughly nasty.

Yeah, you need a loicence for knives and carrying a big knife on you in public without having a good reason can lead to confiscation and arrest. Kitchen knives and the like are fine if you e.g. are going on a barbecue, nobody is going to stop you for carrying a 24 piece cutlery set that has 6 knives in it, but it's quite unlikely someone would be carrying a machete for peaceful reasons, and besides, even if you got stopped for a machete and you had a good reason and you don't look like a violent type you can just explain to the police officer who will let you go (e.g. cutting down some bushes).

Gonna register a prediction that nothing big will come of the gas price hikes this Winter in Europe. Maybe some sporadic protests that eventually fizzle out but little more. EU storage facilities are nearly full, and gas/electricity prices are actually coming down at the moment due to windfall taxes being imposed on the producers and changing the mechanism through which electricity prices are set with any monies raised being used to subsidise households. Plus, riots don't really happen in winter time especially in conditions like this: if it gets really really cold the general population will be too frozen to do anything.

When you've had as many of your DOTA games ruined by Russians as I have (who play on EU servers as even Russians don't want to play with other Russians) you'll understand why I feel the way I do.
I was curious and downloaded my game history to check and I have a large 15% lower winrate when there is someone with a Cyrillic name in my team (an almost always sufficient, but not necessary condition for Russianness) compared to when I don't.

Yeah, that bit was just a joke, I even called it a "loicence". We do have a TV loicence though that the Tories want to scrap (no joke). Plus no pepper spray allowed either and the Skunk Bike Lock which spray would be thieves with a noxious liquid if they attempt to cut it is also illegal.
Self defence laws in general are a joke in bongland. It makes me understand the allure of gated communities as they allow you to offload the dirty work and liability of handling nasty people onto paid security guards.

Oh, it's getting real bad here. The £2 billion 45%->40% tax cut that the proles have gotten into a tizzy over really isn't causing much of the issue, it's more the huge additional borrowing for nat gas without enforcing a windfall tax plus the fact that the BoE is gonna start selling their QE gilts back into the market at a lower rate than it bought them at very soon (the costs are indemnified by the Exchequer, it's gonna add another £150bn plus to their outgoings, more than 2x the gas subsidies too).
The UK has fucked up big time, and you can't even say it's all the fault of Truss+Kwarteng, those gilts purchased during the pandemic were going to have to be sold at some point given how bad inflation was getting.

Oh absolutely. Many white people display the same level of victimisation complexes they accuse minorities of harbouring. What these people need to realise is that we minorities don't give a damn about how well or badly white people are doing or have any desire to put them down, we have enough problems of our own to fix to worry about.
We just want to do well for ourselves and promote policies that do that, any harm or benefit to white people is coincidental; no different to how when the gardener mows the lawn, dozens of insects get their lives upended, but the gardener didn't do this to hurt the insects or even think about them at all when mowing, he just wanted an aesthetic result that looks pleasing from the house window.

This position to keep out low IQ immigrants is only consistent if you agree we should look at plans to also deport low IQ white "indigenous" people to nations where it would be cheaper to pay for their welfare (e.g. Kazakhstan). Those people also do all the negative things you mention.

Contrary to what some people may think we really don't give a shit about whites, we just want policies that benefit us and ours. If white people are a hurdle in the way (as they sometimes are), then we want to get rid of them, if white people also benefit from the policies we want, then good for them.

I am actually a minority (not Jewish, but still a minority). I'm not even anti mayo, I just want them to leave us alone to live life according to our customs and ways (which I absolutely believe to be superior to progressive modernity) without discrimination, however they want to impose their ways of living on us and call what we do "barbaric" and "backward".
I want mayos to become more like us, not to get rid of mayos completely.

And with outright hostilities like that you can't be surprised when we see you as an obstacle towards our own success and want to see you and yours removed from any and all positions of power and influence. It's a shame really because white people on average are generally more competent than most other ethic groups and having competent people running things is good for society as a whole, it's your culture that's screwed up to the point of no return.

Oh, it's extremely shameful, the problems with our society are really really bad. However they are by and large due to incompetence rather than the culture itself being poor. Not to say our culture doesn't have problems, it definitely does, but they are easier to fix than the bastardised mutant of liberalism that rules the roost in the West right now (I'm talking about the elite culture, not the prole culture, that thing is no better than modern western "liberalism").
Again, you can blame us for not domesticating our lower classes properly like they've done so in the west (this is something I actually admire the west for, you've domesticated the common man really well) and that really is our failure but modern western elite culture now has far worse problems.

It’s only been 1300 years, and your societies are lagging far behind those apparently problem-ridden western ones.
In the early 18th Century Mughal India overtook Imperial China to become the largest economy of the world, responsible for 25% of total worldwide production, more than the entirety of Western Europe combined.
You guys got lucky with the industrial revolution, nothing more, nothing less. Before that the "centre of the world" was at various points all over Eurasia.

Oh, absolutely, the mullahs need to be put down (metaphorically). However western cultural poison is seeping through to the youth anyways and the mullah's days are numbered, in about 50 years I expect them to not be an issue any more, however the issue is whether the cure will end up being worse than the disease (and it's a pretty terrible disease too, just goes to show you how dangerous the cure is).

I am not a refugee. I agree refugees are treated extremely well these days and they should show gratitude to their hosts. However as the descendent of economic immigrants only let in because the western government needed their labour to raise tax to pay for its spending commitments the relationship between us and the west is not that of host and guest, but rather that of employer and employee. In this case while the employee promises to follow the rules set by the employer during "working hours", he has no obligation to be grateful and adopt the employers ways as his own. Both sides benefit from the transaction and that's how the western governments talk about it too, with economic migrants they don't say "we should let them in so they can live a better life" but rather say "we should let them in so they pay tax and we can use that money for ourselves", the decision to let us in was to benefit themselves, not to enrich us (no different to why an employer hires someone). Well, we'll treat you as an employer and behave like any employee: keeping our own belief systems and slacking off whenever we get the opportunity.
In a way I actually respect Japan which didn't take this bargain and are now going through a fourth lost decade, they decided to take the economic hit and as a result get to keep their culture. The west wanted to keep the good times rolling and as a result now have to deal with us and our descendants forever.
I'm not even that hostile to white culture, my disdain towards whites when they try to force their cultural values on us comes from the same place as that of an employee pissed off because his employed is trying to control what he does off the job in his free time.

I wouldn't say it's to act as parasites, but in search of a better life with more creature comforts. Nobody says they're gonna go migrate just so they can parasitize the natives, but rather they say they want to go to live a better life. There is a huge lack of opportunity back home which pushes people away while the west (rightly or wrongly) is seen as a land of milk and honey so people want to go there. I personally pay so so much tax that I feel like the natives are parasitizing off of me.
Now a lot of the reasons for why things are so bad back home are because of us ourselves, but that doesn't get rid of the perceived differential in living standards (I would argue it's exaggerated actually, being a top 1% earner back home isn't that much worse than being top 1% earner in the UK when you consider how much more labour you can buy with your money back home). It is this difference that's causing people to flock over and why the only real way to end the hordes descending upon Europe is to either lower your own QoL a lot or raise living standards in their home countries to the point where the added benefits of migrating aren't worth the costs like being away from your family.

I took it from Wikipedia, but you're right the reference for this on there comes from Maddison. The early 18th century was a bit of a misnomer from me, the Wiki reference used the date 1700 (technically still the 17th century) as the time of the takeover and indeed that was the height of their territorial/cultural power. The Mughals did decline during the 18th century but equally at the same time the Marathas were growing a lot and they still count as India.

This here. When you're talking about changing the behaviour of the lower classes, focus on adding things that cost people time and effort rather than money, it'll be the most effective intervention.
Ironically the lower classes are those whose time and effort is worth the least amount of money per unit, but they are still dissuaded the most relatively by extra effort being needed vs extra money...

It's actually $3.6 million, you missed a 0. As someone on the other side who makes money off retail traders I think this cleansing by fire is necessary for the public to realise that when they do these type of trades they are playing a game against people who are smarter than them, have better data than them, have better market understanding than them, have better execution than them etc. and that they will lose in the long run, no different to how it works in a casino.
These weekly losses should be publicly broadcast on TV and made fun of routinely by news anchors etc. until the general public has fully instilled the message that in the long run "you can not beat THE MAN".
