Have you heard of the Sparks Brain preservation organization (Formerly Oregon Cryonics)? I've been following them for a while and they offer a similar service to Nectome and are also based in Oregon.
I was going to post this. I was in China for basically all of Covid. and they were able to stop the spread, it probably wasn't worth it but they could do it. But they would literally send a city of millions into lockdown over single digit case numbers. The two weeks after they lifted were like a ghost town as everyone got sick with Covid. My local bank had to shutdown because too many employees were sick.
That's what I was trying to say but re-reading I realize I phrased it badly.
Well those are fair enough reasons. As someone who lives an another continent from my family I get it but I also always knew I wanted to wander.
If your brother wants to stay then a lesbian beard, or a surrogate seem like the best options ( I wonder if you might offer to help with that with your UK salary?). Marrying a straight woman is a really bad idea (and I personally feel immoral) I have a gay friend from a much more conservative culture then India who did that and even if everyone knows what they're getting into forever is a really long time and it can easily and did end in tears even with both of them having boyfriends on the side it. Lavender marriages can have tension with the Gay part being a horndog, most lesbians are not going to be thrilled with wild chemsex in the guest bedroom with randos but it sounds like your brother lives a lesbian friendly lifestyle (lol). Another possibility I cut from my original post was dating a transman. Depending on your brothers personal sexuality some might be masculine enough for him to be attracted to and they can both have children and really still have woman style attachment and dating styles. Most transmen would be thrilled to date a sensitive handsome gay guy right out of a novel but whether that would work or not depends a lot on your brother and I'm not sure the trans scene in India. Anyway good luck with everything.
Sure and Alcor and the Cryonics institute are non profits with open financials you can see how they've been running for more than 50 years and both have enough money in their patient care funds to run indefinitely as long as the stock market exists.
That's because they don't use an active freezer they use a dewar full of liquid nitrogen. And the money isn't drawn on it's invested in the market and only returns are used for costs.
For something useful I think you need to convince your brother that somethings got to give. His priorities are wanting everything and that's just not going to work. A doctor in the west will make enough money to find a partner and hire a surrogate if he wants bio kids so you should steer him in that direction. Canada and England have places that are virtually India now anyway. Really moving to Canada would solve basically all his problems so I think that is what the breaking point should be. He can't really be out in India except the most cosmopolitan urban places and even then. If his partner really is bi he's at best going to be a sidepiece after his partner gets hitched and married and being a homewrecker to a guy with kids is fucked up. I'm sure his partner is nice and all but it sounds like a reverse lesbian until graduation situation.
There's no future for him in India, ask him to map out his life in 20 years in India versus the west, it's much better to be gay in the west and I'm curious why he doesn't want to move abroad. There are definitely gay men who are willing to settle down with a partner and not in the scene, though harder to find anywhere I suspect it's much harder in India to find someone like that for a variety of reasons. I have some gay friends who want that and it is possible to find. It just seems like there's nothing for him in India and he can have everything else he wants outside it so he should just leave.
They can show the preserved neurons in the brain. Doesn't have to be lab mice they have scans of human brains. However, as of now we can't read the information nor do they claim to. The idea is to preserve the information and brain structure for future revival with scifi technology. I'm very curious if Nectome is for profit. Most all the three other operating cryonics organizations in America are non-profits with a decent history. Running one as a start up seems risky.
Do you know their corporate structure? Doing this with a start up model seems risky. The two long lasting cryonics organizations are both non-profits with a decent amount of transparency.
It really doesn't cost that much around 25k for most and Alcor the more expensive option is around 100k. That's a decent chunk of change but it's also around the price of a new car and most people pay with life insurance anyway.
You don't need to be that rich. I don't know about Nectome but most cryogenics companies have an investment fund to run in perpetuity and really aren't that expensive. About 25k for the ticket.
They've negotiated but Russia hasn't offered terms Ukraine would accept. People up to JD Vance himself have assumed Russia will accept some sort of armistice on the line of control but they won't. The Trump administration offered this and Russia refused. Given the state of the front it's very unclear "disaster' is on the horizon. Either side could collapse tomorrow or they could continue another two years. Russia doesn't actually have a massive numerical advantage because Ukraine has a draft and they don't so it's far from clear they have an inventible victory. Regardless their terms are Ukraine giving up significant land that Russia doesn't control and that's a nonstarter the Ukrainian government would get lynched if they accepted that.
Sure it's not proven but I think it incredibly likely. There are a lot of connections and she has photos of him and her in Egypt and in his apartment promotes his printers and has admitted they live together and called him her "beard" which I don't believe because she posts about being a lesbian on twitter. She says a lot of things that are designed to appeal to westerners ideas of China but fall apart if you have knowledge of Chinese society. For example Chinese police do not care if you have a Uyghur girlfriend. They do care about personalities posting about homosexual relationships on Twitter. So her excuse for Timaz being a beard makes no sense. It does make sense if she's a character designed to appeal to thirsty redditors though because having a boyfriend ruins the fantasy. These influencer type girls are always hiding their boyfriends. Have you ever seen a lesbian look like her? She's very much had surgery to appeal to the male gaze. She obviously does have some knowledge of 3d printing and tech but she's a manufactured product and I think there's essentially 0% chance she's actually a lesbian. Whatever she is she's not a CCP plant they'd be horrified by hald the things she says.
Sure I think it would be closer to Iraq then Germany. However, post 2009 the constant suppression of mass protests with force and live ammunition shows that there is a huge amount of discontent that is not being expressed in the system. The revolutionary guards are also functioning as an unaccountable parasite given how much of the economy they've gradually taken over. I don't think Iranians would love Israel but their tired of they're meagre treasury being spent on foreign militia. Compare Iraq during Saddam's tenure to now. The democratic Iraq doesn't love Israel but it spends a lot less effort antagonizing them.
Nurse Practitioners and PAs aren't really Nurse or assistants as such. The are medical providers who study medicine albeit in a shorter program then doctors. They are whole new category of "midlevels" not normal nurses or medical assistants. PAs probably fit the role designed better. Nurse practitioners have more variety in the standards of their training programs and can operate totally independently in many states which seems to be going to far to me.
She's also a bit of an op. with a white boyfriend/husband pulling the strings from behind the scenes.

Who is she, and why is she censored?
There's a lot of weirdness around her if you read her thread on Kiwi farms. It's pretty clear she was to some degree a booth babe and front for her white boyfriend Timaz. It's pretty clear he wrote a lot of her tweets and is responsible for a lot of her persona. She hides him because it makes her look like what she is eye candy with a white tech savvy male pulling her strings.
She also used westerners ignorance about China to hide some of her weirdness like saying she needed him as a beard when no one in Shenzhen would care if you were a lesbian as long as you didn't blast it on social media. Or saying she was censored for having a Uighur girlfriend when nobody would care about that unless you announced it. As well as her being a persona entirely focused on Westerners and having virtually no presence on Chinese social media. Anyway she's shady enough the government could bring the hammer down for any number of reasons. Or she could just be lying I wouldn't rule it out. She hides behind the veil of "Chinese censorship" when it's convenient.
Why would the US organize protests against their allies?
The Chinese don't want a Pax China though. They aren't going to intervene in Middle Eastern conflicts no matter what. They don't intervene because they don't want to not because they can't. Russia had their fingers all over Syria and China did nothing. The same thing with this current Iran conflict. People keep asking why China doesn't help their ally! Because they aren't really allies just friendly associates and China doesn't see it as their business They'll condemn America and move on. Despite getting double digit percentages of their oil from Iran they are likely to come out ahead instead of trying to "secure their oil" by sticking their hands in the hornets nest.
Sure it's neat system in theory. But in practice it's totally broken down because the population has drifted far enough away from those core values that the managed democracy can no longer function because the people would choose totally different candidates organically than the ones they are allowed to vote for. Khomeini created the system to avoid values drift but it's utterly failed to do so because while they were able to avoid values drift in the government they weren't able to do so in the population.
Qatar, Turkey not mention America were all funding terror groups in the Middle East too. Especially in Syria. Who were fighting with the Iranian terror groups and the secular government also supported by Iran. Should we invade Turkey because of the Islamist government in Syria? Or Qatar who also supports Hamas?
It's not just polling. So much of social science relies on surveys with usually no verification if people are being honest. Which we know they aren't because people often answer what they feel they should be doing, or would like to be doing rather than what they are. See reported vs actual Church attendance. Not to mention so much social science is based solely on WEIRDs who are fairly atypical compared to the average person.
I wouldn't describe the CCP as wanting a post racial or liberal future, I don't think even their propaganda says that much less the reality on the ground. The cultural revolution is usually seen as a product of Mao and madness so the current party doesn't have too much of that sheen on it and allows criticism of it (most notably recently the three body problem). The modern party is fairly nationalistic itself and has presided over a revival of Chinese culture so it's hard for a nationalist opposition to get too much steam. If anything I think the biggest point of tension is Mao, rather than Communism being "foreign" but all the Mao iconography is symbolic these days so most people just ignore it but it definitely shows the contradiction of modern China.
It did backfire with that Lufthansa flight. Since then they have a two person in the cockpit rule which seems to have mostly worked. If the pilot or copilot leaves then they call a stewardess in.

You could certainly find someone. And some have run the blockade, maybe with bribes but still not officially allowed, but those kind of blockade runners aren't going to be enough to carry the global economy.
