I wouldn't say they are crippled since that implies they have a disability to live their life successfully. They might be missing a fundamentally human experience, but they are missing it in a good manner which will help them live a better life. Avoiding gluttony, wrath and excessive lust is good.
Avoiding sexually harassing people is more important than "getting laid" because it causes a lot of harm.
Would you consider priests, monks, nuns, and other people who have never engaged in romantic relationships throughout their lives because they had a different calling to be a group of people who shouldn't exist? I think it is clearly wrong. Just because it isn't how most humans function, doesn't mean that these people are any less human.
I agree. It shouldn't be too hard with today's technology to build good product/service comparison sites or recommendation systems for what you will like. The issue is that most people are not going to be spending a lot of time or effort on this, and will miss out on products/services they would have liked. Isn't it better that companies spend time and effort to bring their offerings to you and curate the advertisements you receive?
Why don't you just directly recommend going to therapy for your sisters if you feel like it will help them out? They might not choose to act upon it, but they might still consider it.
I don't think the girl in question was low information, low intellect and definitely not low agentic. She just seemed fixated on causing chaos, and did everything in her power to do what was "fun" to her.
Many people would call people like you, who call for other human beings to be murdered because you perceive them as animals, a psychopath, or someone with anti-social tendencies at the very least.
Advertising helps the people learn about what kinds of products and services are available. Outright lying is banned, so it may be a net good.
Doesn't squeezing each other out mean that they are becoming leaner and more efficient so giving the same products/services at lower cost to society? Can you give me some examples of the sort of jobs you are talking about? I am not sure I understand.
What if we get decent UBI though? Or enough promises of a socialist utopia where no one has to work the masses buy into.
Yeah, I agree. I am not saying to necessarily take any decisions even if you suspect it is likely gender dysphoria. You could engage in waitfull watching.
Yeah I agree it is not proof, but it can be good enough evidence.
You ask the kid why they think what they are thinking. For eg. if a girl tells you she wants to be a boy, you can ask her why and eliminate non gender dysphoric reasons like "she wants to play football which only boys get to play".
I think if a kid has been secluded from all transgender related concepts, but still displays gender dysphoria (which you can confirm by asking if it is actually gender dysphoria or the kid is mistakenly wanting to be the other gender for some other reason), then that's decent evidence that the kid is transgender. What should be done about this (allowing social transition, or puberty blockers, or even more extreme measures) is still unclear though.
Yes, but even outside of that pregnancy can have changes that affect your life permanently. Many women have permanent body changes and problems that they have to live with. Apart from health issues, there is still the fact that many women are unable to do much during pregnancy and it affects your career.
It's not just tokophobia but how pregnancy can permanently change your life in many ways.
Therapists don't do this. This is only a concept popularized by online therapy discourse.
This is a false dichotomy.
I would also like to note that from the recent discourse about marriage in Mormons/religious groups, it was pointed out that the men are a lot more social and very regularly go to non-romantic social events where they get to know the women in their community (and the women get to know the men).
Is it a psy-op or sometimes people just like to complain but their revealed preferences tell otherwise? It could be either way imo.
It's summer so cucumber with salt can be really tasty and refreshing.
The ideal number of kids women and men want is already higher than the TFR needed for replacement, so desire for children might not be the main issue with falling fertility rates. But if people spend more time with children as teenagers, then it would certainly make it easier for them to have their own children when they are grown up as it wouldn't be as unfamiliar.
it is very "good times create weak men", in a way.
I don't think this is true. Scott is just spending his time specializing in a different skillset. That's why he is earning exceptionally well in the first place and why he is an exceptionally good writer.
This is ok imo. Competition elevates everyone by driving everyone to work for the thing they are competing for at their maximum capacity. If teenagers spend more of their time learning, they will learn more things than if they spend less.
This is a false dichotomy. I don't see why someone would never get laid just due to affirmative consent. Also, not getting laid is not a harm, it is at worst missing out on something great.
