Anyone who’s watched Mythbusters knows that high-explosives look very different from overpressure failures.
This looks like high-explosives to me.
First thing I though of:
Israel has 20 IQ points max on the Arabs, and this is already what it looks like.
Disagree. Assuming there is a write-in or minor party option, “I am willing to vote but these guys all suck,” is a coalition that you would be defecting against by staying home. Simply showing up demonstrates latent potential.
Voting isn’t just throwing your opinion into the aether. It is a form of acausal trade between you and everyone else in the country who thinks like you. By not voting, you are defecting against your own allies, which is by definition antisocial and Molochian.
If you had asked me beforehand which special interest would be most likely to produce radicals who try to kill Trump, I would not have guessed Ukraine. Trying to make sense of it in hindsight, maybe the fact that volunteers for Ukraine tend to be violence-oriented boosts their likelihood of committing violence.
There's no hella epic based video, so this one won't even energize the base. Maybe if there's a manifesto or something
Are you guys keeping up with this "ABC Whistleblower" story? Earlier in the week there were "reports" that someone would be filing an affadavit regarding ABC News's conduct during the debate. Fast forward to today, and we have the alleged affadavit. The source seems to be "Black Insurrectionist--I FOLLOW BACK TRUE PATRIOTS @DocNetyoutube" on X.
This is obvious bullshit right? The names are conveniently redacted. To throw another monkey wrench into it, Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted this morning that the whistleblower was killed in a car crash, before quickly backtracking (on the car crash, not on the whistleblower).
Is it going to be like this for the next two months until the election? Will it ever end? Do I just need to stop paying attention to internet bullshit? Will the inevitable defamation suits bring things back into equilibrium?
I couldn't stop laughing at this video clip from the hallowed halls of Congress earlier this week. It has the exact same tone as schoolchildren bullying an overwhelmed substitute teacher. I think that's a good metaphor for the id of the two parties.
For the very top household names it probably is (biblical scholar Bart Ehrman charges about this much for an appearance), Walsh and Co picked a number that was too good to pass up, but not so outrageous as to arouse suspicion.
I was referring to the government not knowing how money works. A government that doesn’t understand how money is the way you get people to do the things they don’t want to do is doomed.
In this case why isn't the pro Palestinian charged with assault or Violation of a Constitutional Right Causing Injury?
Well, was Scott Hayes actually injured? The pro Palestinian got shot, a much more severe punishment than if he were to be convicted of simple battery.
Not only do they not have any money, they don't even know how money works!
My reaction to this is: what the fuck? Did she really feel pressured into handing a random black person money because they were talking about reparations? LOL
It seems highly relevent that she was paid $15,000 for this interview. I too would likely pay a few hundred bucks to stay in the good graces of such generous benefactors.
I will laugh my ass off if the hack that solves this turns out to be “generate an image of the word ‘strawberry’,” followed by, “how many R’s are there in this image?”
Scott’s short treatment of the subject in his review of Malleus Maleficarum gives the most defensible explanation:
God isn’t trying to maximize a 21st century utilitarian view of the Good, He’s trying to maximize His own glory. Allowing some evil helps with this, because then He can justly punish it (and being just is glorious) or mercifully forgive it (and being merciful is also glorious). But, if God let the Devil kill everyone in the world, then there would be no one left to praise God’s glory, plus people might falsely think God couldn’t have stopped the Devil if He’d wanted to. So the glory-maximizing option is to give the Devil some power, but not too much.
This is the best they can come up with. I’m serious. I don’t believe in God, but conditional on there being a magic sky fairy, this is the most likely explanation.
Paul himself gestures in this direction. Read Romans 9 sometime, especially the metaphor about the potter and the clay.
There does seem to me more evidence coming out that police were aware that Haitians were taking waterfowl from public waterways, but that’s a far cry from killing pets.
Of course, those of us paying attention will remember that they tried to deny the ducks and geese too, but normies won’t care.
My first thought is that the real reason employers are so happy to have the Haitians is because they can pay them less, but not having been to the Midwest I may be underestimating the degredation of the native human capital.
Haitian-Americans seem to be doing okay so far, though one always has to be concerned about selection effects. Maybe Haiti's abysmal situation is due to instability and mismanagement. If only there were some way for an outside force to provide order, political stability, and facilitate foreign investment...
UPDATE: WE HAVE GEESE! The Federalist claims to have obtained a police report and non-emergency call from August where a citizen reports a group of Hatians who "all had geese in their hands." Finally, some actual journalism.
I am going to do the Yudkowskian thing and ask you to map out in your head what would actually happen if someone began developing and deploying biosphere-level sun-blocking technology, remembering what tends to go down in real history books.
I’m not necessarily against geoengineering, but there are in fact reasons not to go down that path until we need to.
Put a number to it. What percentage of those 20,000 do you think are slaughtering ducks in the park?
It seems plausible to me that they are rate limited by the number of ducks in the park available to slaughter. Assuming they have three or four ponds, each with 10 or so ducks, it might only take five or six guys to go through the entire population in a year. As we have seen with shoplifting statistics, these things tend to be dominated by the tails.
Nobody has gone to the park to check! Springfield isn’t in the middle of nowhere. There are big cities nearby. This entire tempest in a teapot is happening online with approximately no input from base-level reality.
A somewhat similar event happened a few months ago with noted rich white man Scottie Scheffler. Public opinion was strongly on Scheffler's side, even though he violated the traffic pattern implemented by law enforcement.
People intrinsicly feel that important people deserve certain privileges. Faceless nameless CEO from CapitalCorp doesn't get the benefit of the doubt, but popular celebrities attending their prescribed functions do. People also expect cops to be judicious in the excersize of their power.
Can this also be blamed on Vatican II?
I was reading Scott's review of Hive Mind recently. The part that stands out to me is this:
The best guess is that the cognitive skill of elites really does matter more than the nation’s average score. When it comes to institutional quality, Potrafke and I found that the cognitive skills of the top 5 percent did the better job of predicting property-rights friendly institutions, although the nation’s average score also did a reasonably good job as a predictor…for the time being it’s reasonable to start with the belief that a nation’s top performers matter more for the economy than a nation’s average performers.
A decent manager would probably be able to find something productive to do with the functionally illiterate office worker Scott mentions in your link. The problem becomes compounded when that person's boss is also an idiot, and so on and so on.
If there really were 20,000 unemployable retards wandering the streets of Springfield, we would be seeing video clips, not second and third-hand rumors. So I am tentatively willing to believe that they are employed. Is there really that much demand for cheap low-skill labor? That is one of the things I am confused about.
The guy who did that was sentenced to 9 years in prison.. You would expect one or two traffic fatalities a year from a population of 20,000.
You would not go to prison for driving without a license or without plates either. These are minor offenses.
This is the war. It’s happening right now.
A communications disruption can mean only one thing: invasion.
