My right thumb is double jointed - it can pop forward in a weird and unexpected way.

I can disjoint my jaw out of its socket and back in harmlessly and painlessly.

I sweat like a motherfucker - I am constantly sweating, even at 65f. As soon as humidity rises above 40% or so it becomes noticeable.

Are there any low-overhead charities out there where you can mostly-directly send money to poorer people? Preferably with options to filter by criteria such as number of kids, marital status, etc.

You could try your local St. Vincent de Paul society.

Well I don't need to break out the hammer drill to put a picture up on my wall. Also the noise issue can be solved by having a house instead of an apartment.

I've found Europeans get really weirded out when you tell them about drywall.

What, are they still using plaster and lathe? It's admittedly thicker but it takes much more labor to put up. Drywall is perfectly fine.

If the people of the US had to pay comparable prices for oil and energy as over here in Europe, there would be huge upheaval, protests, and maybe even a bit of economic collapse

Prior to the Ukraine war, I was under the impression high energy prices were government policy enforced by taxation, no?

You did this.

Well, "we" as in the US elites did this. "We" the broad populace of the US did not. I personally would be happy for you guys to roll your own way on all matters foreign and domestic. It would be good for the American soul to have real competitors and not just fake ones.

It has to eventually. It’s the only long-term economical and sustainable solution.

You say that, and I agree with you in the sense that it's the only long-term economical option, but I do fear that, uh, what's the government equivalent of "the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent?"

It’s way easier than manually mixing formula.

Swaddle the kid, if you have problems breast feeding check out the Brezza Formula Pro (formula keurig is how I’d describe it but it doesn’t use proprietary formula or anything), your wife may be somewhat crazy for some months. You need to keep her sane even if she doesn’t want to be kept sane.

Eh it’s not so bad. I’ve got a decent stockpile still. I live pretty close to a large concentration of Indian migrants, so it’s not impossible you’ll end up near here.

Just grow your own tomatoes. It’s trivially easy and crazy cheap. And you can grow any variety you want. I’ve got six different varieties growing right now, some are close to harvest time.

Honestly, Intel CPUs are still perfectly competitive with AMD on the server side. And frankly we have less problems at scale with Intel than I see on our AMD fleet.

God bless you for reminding me of my genuine love for my country as I daily watch endless efforts to destroy it and render it unrecognizable by the left. Should you ever make it to this country, I would be happy to take you shooting.

That seems entirely dependent on the trajectory our culture takes from now until then.

Does progressivism continue? Then he'll be considered great.

Do we collapse and rebuild? He'll be on the level of James Buchanan.

Now I’m a big believer in psychic history (Foundation series)

Psychohistory?

I think "letting them die" is the wrong term. What is happening here is the state is "actively killing them."

Right after Smarch.

I've followed the guy on Twitter - I could not care less about this, and Breitbart should be shamed and cast out of the right wing media for this outrageous use of left-wing boogeymen to attack a solid rightist.

I’m saying you’re wrong, it is used in a non derogatory sense, because circumlocutions are the only way to talk about that subject in many places.

Also, do not use reddit/rdrama euphemisms like "the trains." Speak clearly (and you can feel how you feel about trans people, but you cannot use generalized pejoratives directed in a way that includes other posters here).

Let's be fair, "trains" is a necessary circumlocution on most platforms, and therefore not necessarily a pejorative - just a circumlocution.

I particularly despise the “quippy” dialogue of Strange New Worlds.

But what you were saying is he doesn't deliver on things... not that you don't like the things.

This is true. Fights happen fast. Also being punched sucks.

39... Elon's 51.

And Zuck does MMA and BJJ.

Elon is a bigger guy, but I'm not sure how much that will count for.

A lot less than 10%.

Probably 15% is mortgage, 15% daycare, 4% car payment, 5-10% utilities.
