I wish I had your faith. I think the self-interest and entitlement of liberal women will mean they don't budge an inch. Middle class white women continue to be the main beneficiaries of DEI despite other groups being ostensibly ranked above them on the oppression totem -- that is to say they're higher ranked only on paper.

Actually a really great observation, since a lot of leftist beliefs on issues hinge on the idea that the problem is systemic in nature, so perhaps it is a major contributing factor to the left being less prone to conspiracy theories.
Doesn't that just shift the conspiracy up to who created and maintains the system? In the same way that a lot of conspiracy theories get tied back to Israel/Jews, only this time it's White People/Men?

Granting asylum to the denizens of an ally only makes sense in the case of a Ukraine-style war and I don't think that's the central case for an asylum-seeker, those are black-swan events.
You have successfully divined the point. I don't want to help the vast majority of current asylum claimants. A tyrannical dictator or a massive catastrophe are rare, valid events that I want to help. Living standards in Pashtun being shit (because of all the Pashtuns) or interminable ethnoreligious sand wars (a product of the backwards people and religions there) are not.
I do not want to help Africans or Arabs or Bomalians or Gomalians. Not in any way that involves bringing them here, at least.

They are crazy, and they will if they can. The attempt to flood the country with unwanted paper citizens is an attempt to do exactly this, in fact. The insistence that Mahmood who broke into the country a few years ago is EXACTLY as German as you is an attempt to dilute the concept out of existence. Equating blood citizenship and paper citizenship serves only to devalue the former.
Moreover, though, yes I don't think deporting their pets would cause any noticeable change in their plans.

A polite fiction, at this point. At least paper citizenship is. It means nothing. It's worth nothing. It's been given away so freely to so many that should never have had it. It's like degree devaluation, but worse.
For one, it gives the government the ultimate power to kick out citizens it dislikes.
Only those with alternative citizenships. Which is completely fair; paper citizens should always be at risk of removal, to keep them in line. Ideally there would be a way of preventing them from renouncing alternative citizenships before we can revoke their granted ones. (Well, ideally, they should never have been invited in in the first place, and I will still never understand the impulse to economic and social self mutilation that did so.)
It makes sense then, that the existing conservative parties would be concerned about a newcomer which wants to make such radical changes.
Well, no, not if their concern is towards the actual people of the country. If they have loyalty to paper citizens over blood ones, then they shouldn't be anywhere near power anyway and should be roundly disregarded on all concerns.
At the same time though, I don't understand why they seem so disinterested in at least limiting future immigration.
They don't actually care who they rule over, so long as they rule. Germans or Bomalians, it's all the same to them. They just want to rule over the most people possible. The Bomalians are maybe considered slightly easier to rule over due to being less disposed towards intelligence due to... alternative breeding strategies. This is however, under the assumption that they can be deprived of their violently backwards religions and ideologies by the civilising light of western culture (which they cannot.)
If the established parties would take on the more reasonable parts of AfD policies (limiting immigration and increasing requirements for applicants), that would probably net them a lot of voters and weaken AfD
If by bathroom sink is overflowing due to someone leaving the taps on 100% flow for ages, if my floors are getting soaked and everything is getting water damaged, simply turning the taps some of the way off doesn't fix anything. If your ship is sinking, covering up some of the hole and refusing to bail water because it would be "mean" to displace it, doesn't fix anything. The damage from mass migration is cumulative, it is the stock, not the flow that matters.

Nobody has a right to be in Germany other than actual Germans. If the privilege of being allowed to stay was previously erroneously referred to as such, well, that's unfortunate, but still, out they go.
These people aren't German just because they have a bit of paper saying so that they won from an overly lenient establishment under lax standards.

A few factors imo, it's resurging for largely the same reasons leftism in general is popular.
People have a desperate, deep seated need to stand out from the crowd, to be exceptional or above average in some way. For those who don't have any obvious areas of talent or excellence, they have to get inventive. This is why people turn to ideology or controversial ideas. It is very, very alluring to claim that this thing which the majority of people (rightly!) dismiss is actually true and has value, and everyone else are idiots for not seeing it. It's an extremely easy way to set oneself apart and claim to have secret knowledge. This is as true for your traditional anti-vax moms as it is for astrology adherents as it is for reflexive leftists who argue that mass immigration is great, actually, as it is for Jehovah's who think they're part of the chosen few going to be saved. Everyone wants to be part of an exclusive crowd that are just better than the plebs. Believing and defending unpopular things is a low-to-no-cost way of achieving that. Your little clubhouse gets to shore up their egos by circlejerking and looking down on those "sheeple" who don't follow your chosen ideology.

one thing that bothers me a lot about this kind of progressive outrage is why its so.... selective? Why give more heat towards someone making fun of the LGBTQ+ community in comparison to say, someone being underpaid at the company or not getting the right amount of maternity leave?
Progressivism makes a lot more sense when you model it as basically a game.
Certain groups are considered by progressives to be "lower status" or "oppressed" in their perception of world outside progressive spaces (this doesn't necessarily need to bear much correlation to actual reality, as progressives consider first world women to be terribly oppressed, despite them being one of the most coddled and pampered groups throughout all of human history). Because progressivism is characterised by kneejerk contrarianism to the reality most of us live in (I have a lot of thoughts about how people turn to progressivism simply to distinguish themselves from the crowd), those lower status groups become high status in progressive spaces. The more highly regarded a group is in progressive hierarchies, the higher the point multiplier you get for advocating for them.
At all times it is important to maximise the point value of your performances. Routinely in progressive spaces, those who accrue insufficient performance points are rounded upon by the rest of the group and either quietly exiled or, if transgressions can be found in their past, excoriated and loudly denounced as a source of more points. It's sort of like an elimination race; you just don't want to be near the bottom of the scoreboard or it could cost you all your social circles and maybe your career. If you have skeletons in your closet it's important to be close to the top so nobody has any reason to go looking for them (but not at the very top because that's also a reason to go looking, taking down a high ranking progressive with a successful accusation of secret racism or something also scores very highly.)

I would have loved for this to happen.
London would, of course, have had to pay for a hard border and enforcement as part of its EU joining process. This would have then made the encirclement, blockading and sieging of London very easy. We could then charge London absolutely exorbitant rates for water, power, food and access, and thereby regain some of its hoarded wealth at least.

These proposals do not come from a place of genuine concern or worry. This is damage control and limitation for their ideology. They don't give a fuck about Arday beyond being able to leverage his final gift to them in order to prevent further ideological damage.
The left was caught diversity hiring to one of the most prestigious organisations in the land, deliberately and wilfully overlooking obvious lies and inability in order to do so. Their devotees blindly defended him without even looking at the claims, because he was a black man. All of this concern about Arday's decision to die rather than face scrutiny is simply an attempt to limit or prevent anyone exposing more of their diversity hires. And there will be more. There will be a lot more.
Exposing frauds is in the public interest and exposing Arday is one of the few good things the media has done in recent times. I would be in favour of a guideline that future Ardays be placed into protective custody until the landscape settles, if indeed anything must be done about such things.

The single most tragic thing about this entire conflict is that anyone in the civilised world has any sort of opinion about it whatsoever.
This should be completely unknown to us, off our radar. This does not concern us. Desert shithole ethnoreligious land conflicts are nothing to do with us. And yet there are people shitting up my town centre every weekend about this. I have to endure conversations with people who inexplicably make this core to their identity.
So I'm in favour of whatever route out of this puts a stop to that as swiftly and decisively as possible while costing my country as little as possible. If that is Palestine becoming a radioactive glass crater, so be it. This is my sole concern about this matter.

Hmmm.
The thing that made Woke different, in my opinion, was social media. To criticise oneself is noble and self-effacing, and a desire to appear such, as well as morally superior, is what I think drives much of wokeness. Essentially white leftists are pick-mes for minorities, they sell out their own race or nationality to be considered "one of the good ones". Some cynically think they are helping minorities upend the entrenched order (to install socialism, or whatever) and that they will be rewarded with a higher position than they currently have in the new hierarchy, or indeed something other than a shallow grave, once their fantasy revolution is complete.

A lot of the cultures they like to portray as having a concept of "trans" or "third gender" didn't, and they're just reinterpreting them through their values.
As far as I've been able to tell, the vast majority of them are simply "failed male, useless for the normal purpose of men". Spartans would have yeeted these off a cliff. These other cultures allowed them to live, and found something marginally useful for them to do.

These are non-achievements. Wokeism is still the law of the land. Policy is still based on it. Until you can get fired from university positions for being accused of being a communist, it isn't done. Until 13/52 is openly stated and policy is based on it being true and self evident, it isn't done. Until BLM is viewed the same as Kony2012, it isn't done. Until stating your pronouns gets you laughed out of a room, it isn't done. As long as people are willing to openly call themselves socialists, antifa, anti-racists and the like, it isn't done. Until Ibram Kendi, Kehinde Andrews, Priya Gopal and all such people are destitute, derided, and working in McDonalds cleaning toddler vomit from the ballpit, it isn't done.

Black guys stealing cars happens basically every single day. Anyone at all stealing a plane is a much rarer event. And for it to all proceed so... almost peacefully? That's what captures people about it.
Strangely, I have much more sympathy for Sky King's sadness on a human level than I would if his stunt was in the service of, say, environmentalism. It's extremely... human, in a way. If Tyrone broke into a racetrack to run a few laps before self-deleting while expressing such sadness (with a reasonable level of articulation), I'd consider it noteworthy too.
On aggregate, just by sheer numbers, and also I think iirc they attain the highest level roles from it? It's a vague memory of something I read years ago. I didn't file it away for later.
