I agree and would add that the federal government already has lots of experience issuing hspd-12 id cards to their employees and contractors (these include the ability to load certs on them so you could even get nice public key infrastructure), they could just run essentially the same system in parallel

Do roombas actually work now? Id love to get one but still have memories of the early generation units which where pretty much worthless on carpet. My place is small (1200 square feet) and a mix of carpet and tile.

I think is a miss reading of history. Africans where enslaved because they where the most convenient population available that European powers could enslave. Native populations where often enslaved first, but this wasn’t sustainable because there weren’t very many of them and they died very quickly from exposure to diseases from the old world. Asians where not enslaved because there wasn’t any short route to Asia and Asian polities where powerful enough to resist Europeans until the ~1850s.

I agree, I really think a lot of it is just cope, trump thought he had it in the bag after the combination of getting shot at, the debate and the high coming out of the rnc. I don’t think that Kamala is particularly great but a lot of people don’t like trump and the fact that he is really starting to show his age isn’t helping either.

I’m not entirely sure if he can, based on the Supreme courts ruling on presidential immunity (which in effect says that a president cannot be prosecuted for official acts), I’m not sure what the outcome of a sel pardon would be (at a minimum it would end up in court and cost a lot of money).

I bet that they are both taking a low dose of methylphenidate or Dexedrine. Methylphenidate would be a good choice since I don’t think it’s tested for on a standard 5 panel test.

I made the same “mistake” on novo nordisk and passed it up for the same reasons
Mine definitely degraded with time but did not fail (my catalytic converter went which was ultimately what caused me to ditch the car). mpg went from around 55 at 200 k miles to 42 mpg at 200 k miles). I knew someone who refurbished his battery which cost him relatively little to do (he did it himself). The batteries used to just be a bunch of nicad cells in series and when a battery “went bad” it’s usually just a few cells which can be replaced (cheap to diy, I don’t even know if it’s a service most shops would do).
I’m also unsure how this works with newer Priuses since I think Toyota switched all of their hybrids to lipo batteries in 2016.

The Prius really is a fantastic car! My first car was a 2004 model, had over 300k miles on it when it finally died (I don’t know the actual # because the odometer broke at 299,999)

I generally agree with this sentiment, but I think that the panic is also partly being driven by the fact that young Jewish Americans also don’t seem to be that big on Zionism either. I haven’t seen any numbers, but just the fact that these protests erupted at Columbia makes me strongly suspect that a fair number (which I define as a greater % than you would get if you just sampled the population randomly) of the pro Palestinian protesters are probably American Jews.

Thanks I’ll look into it. Its value to the company is that I may be able to give this employee some of my basic tasks, giving me more time to do harder things. As for his resume, we are a government contractor and management still cares about credentials/certs so it might benefit him.
They will probably just tie voter id requirements to all kinds of federal money and force states to implement it that way
