I really don't see the benefit here, karg is just their oil export terminal. All of kargs oil has to go through the strait, which iran has closed anyway. They've already determined they can last without oil exports from karg. Karg is useless without the ability to export oil from there and iran already isn't. This logic has real "we're taking kursk as a bargining chip in negotiations" energy. How did that work out?

I will not add to this argument other than to say I have bookmarked this thread and will be looking back on it in around a month to see which side was obviously stupid in retrospect and update my opinion of the people on that side accordingly.

Well, it's like the problems of video games in recent years. They think theres a larger audience out there they can get but their current one is so toxic it's preventing them from getting it. Thus you have the choice of ditching your old users and hoping the new bigger userbase gets on board or slowly dying with your old users.
Bluesky is a profit driven company so of course they have to take the risk of more users and thus higher profits over guaranteed slow death.

I feel like there is a useful distinction to be made between witches and witch hunters. The most commonly ascribed issue with witches is one of moral or spiritual corruption. Witches don't want to destroy witch hunters, they want to convert them into witches. Witch hunters on the other hand are all about accusing people of being witches and burning them at the stake to prevent their corruption from spreading.
I think that blueskies problem is with too many witch hunters and not enough witches.

Can you please state clearly what you're arguing for? Cause "Porn bans decrease the amount of sex people have, exacerbate the gender divide, increase sexual assault rates and don't even prevent people from accessing porn" is not a very compelling case in favor of porn bans.

This is just another instance of americans forgetting that other countries exist. There are places that ban porn. South korea is one such nation and as we can see south koreans are having lots of hot sex as the author of this article would predict. Gender relations are at an all time high too. While rates of sexual assault are at an all time low. With results like these I can't see why anyone would oppose a porn ban!

I think zelensky is a fucking moron prosecuting the war entirely wrong for political reasons. He dismissed his best commander because he was getting too popular and might defeat him in the next election. He replaced him with an unpopular commander that wouldn't threaten his political career, problem being the reason this new commander isn't a political threat is because he's incompetent. He keeps pointlessly throwing his best troops into meatgrinders in order to achieve a "win" which he believes ukraine desperately needs but he never explains what good any of these "wins" would do even if they ever materialized. Zelensky has put his own political career ahead of the life of his own country. I think ukraine would be much better off if zaluzhnyi was president rather than zelensky.

If you actually read anything hitlers ever said, you quickly realize that he lifted his language and vocabulary pretty much directly from that eras communist rhetoric. Going by this guys thesis, thus the nazi's should've slowly drifted towards communist policies and been continually losing elections to communists because they used a communist frame.
I make no attempt to hide my disdain for people who advocate for these kind of language games.

I've asked for evidence of being a groyper from people saying it and usually they just stop talking at that point. Only one guy actually gave any reason at all and it was that no true leftist would write any of that on the bullet casings and it's obviously a right winger false flagging. Suffice it to say this reasoning is utterly unconvincing.

The cope from left wing people I know are discord is insane. I've gotten both that he was groyper and it was a trump ordered false flag. Up until now I considered these people fairly connected to reality and I'm quite shocked at how quickly they're resorting to conspiracy to deny this. Not to mention they usually follow up with him being a piece of shit and it's good he got shot anyway. It's "the holocaust never happened but it should've" tier bad rhetoric.
I'm not sure what to do about it either. When I try to dispute it they suddenly just ignore me and don't even try to defend what they said. Should I just stop talking to these people all together? It's gonna be kinda hard to interact with them with this stuff they said at the back of my mind.

I gotta be honest this one really concerns me. The assassinations of political influencers seems more likely to escalate than either school shootings or politicians. My worry is that we see some right winger assassinate some high profile left wing influencer in "revenge" for charlie kirk. And then it just spirals from there.

What the heck is your definition of healthy????? Do you just think that being "trendy" means it's better in health and taste?
It's always strange when I meet people like this. Theres a certain kind of person that fixates on a particular diet and reasons about how healthy food is by how closely it follows their chosen diet. It's hard for me to get into the head of people who are just completely immune to any actual examination of the outcomes of various diets and insists their diet is healthy. Someone downthread points out OPs supposedly healthier national diets have significantly worse outcomes than the supposedly unhealthy japanese diet and OP basically ignores it. I do know people like this IRL but they're all boomers probably basing their ideas off a debunked paper that was widely reported in the 70s or something. People have some utterly bizarre ideas about what food is healthy and I don't understand why theres so much intransience on this particular topic.
No they aren't, they're sending it out their port just outside the strait at chabahar.
