I respect people who worship their ancestors, Zeus isn't in the Hindu pantheon but I still feel a little icky seeing religious things in games. Had he been agaisnt Jesus or Moses, I'd have written the same.
I really did enjoy the games though, imo god of war games were quite fun till the third. Dmc was never popular here so gow was the most popular melee combat game.

Hindu upper caste is responsible for everything good in India and carries elevated levels of Aryan ancestry, thus being the least diluted descendants of the Indo Aryans. Due to the small size and historic overrepresentation, the underclass is extremely resentful, being dirt poor makes it worse. The Bjp is the Hindu or Upper Caste party the way Republicans are the white party, which is to say not all. They swindle Hindus and use Muslims as scapegoats but require more energy, a vision to get more votes.
India is 80 plus percent OBC or below, 20 percent isn't a large number. In reality upper castes lack a sense of identity strong enough to will the nation to acknowledge what's happening. All of the armed forces is made up of the same stock, yet people, bjps most ardent voters are upper castes who accept evil because the alternatives much worse.
The backwards are made up of three classifications, OBCs or shudras or peasant castes, SCs who are what you would call scheduled castes under which some were mistreated, also known as dalits. STs are the final which is a classification I could never make sense of as these are tribals. OBCs are the largest percentage share of the nation, followed by these two, Muslims and then Upper castes. Modi wants to win after all. They also took away land Vai redistribution, the state pays you 10k usd for marrying into another caste, you can barely get a job or a degree or get representation. How much more does one even need?
India can never industrialise properly, it's industrial base is a joke as the bureaucracy and politicians exist to only take kickbacks. Nothing of note will ever get made here the way it happens in China and it'll only get worse as automated customer care and 105 iq language models make junior Javascript devs obsolete. You just can't get things done here on scale, period. People know what's good, they just don't care, this includes upper caste elites unfortunately. They have one foot out the door already.
China is a fun place, it's got terrible demographics, lower tfr is bad because it means the people leave but I don't think China does anything super special, they just avoid stupid things liberal world loves. That's enough in this day and age.
Chiang mai felt dead to me personally. I was alone with my other ex co founder and it was a terrible time. I saw way too many passport bros and women, the local ones really like exotic men which felt unappealing to me, I don't like Asian women but there was something about it that felt kinda off. People led good lives, law and order was nice, hospitals worked, the roads were clean yet I never could relate to it as much. I did enjoy pai, the hippy village next to it a lot more since I'm young.
There are some places today like NY or SF and a few others that are epicentres of important things, the way Kashmir was to Shaivism a few centuries ago. But it felt dead to me because I'm not a local, it's pretty alive if you're one. Maya mall, nimman, the night markets, Zoe In Yellow, spicy, Chiang Mai Ram, the man made lake next to the law department were things that I still remember to this date. I'd visit this cafe called Vaana next to central festival. Though my time there was awful as I was on the mercy of my ex co founder, had zero money and was extremely stressed, I would love to visit again once I'm rich lol. It's a good place, I remember looking at the mountains from my apartment and the drive to pai. Feels like a lifetime ago.

It is already in the shredder. I cannot talk to anyone about it beyond people I know online, even though they may not fully realise how bad things are. The practices kept alive under foreign rules will be killed off. This is not shcizoposting on my part either. Blackpilling is a sign of weakness, and there are some ways but Indo Aryans are going to be completely dead before other branches of Aryans all over. People will accept tyranny, despite making up all of the armed forces(upper castes in this case). Why do people put themselves in these positions?
Refusing to take stock of a bad situation is madness. Elders here simply don't care or can't be made to care. Euros can at least plan for remigration, Denmark has a lower percentage of its 0-5 population as non-Danes than its adult population. Not the case here. Nothing is enough, the calls for wanting women as reparations, state encouragement of that by giving people 10k USD for marrying outside of your caste. In ways I get why boomers refuse to accept reality, coming to terms with this fucked up my day. My main reasons behind doing well in life beyond the personal were to help out the less fortunate whom I share some ancestry with and help them see the light. So that women like my mother have capable people to marry who uphold the last strands of our values.
All that is gone now. This sounds conspiratorial, but there is not much stopping the South African government from being more ruthless. I don't give the one here many reasons not to act that way. If you have 90 plus percent affirmative action, then the policeforce is 90 plus percent people who dont like you. Police tyrnany fucks with people in the army too, ask Paan Singh Tomar. They may not actively want you dead, but they clearly do not like you in the best case. There is probably no saving, if there is, I would happily do whatever I can. My sabbatical will continue, and I will try to leave soon. I am just gutted. I am alone, and I can't unsee what is going to happen.
Replaying again since this is important, the leader of the opposition is talking about mandating state policies in all private sectors, including education. Even these bubbles of excellence will be popped.

My issues with the underclass are never to do with castes, most people are a part of it and act like it. The documentary was made by another Indian and I was more charitable than I should have been, I do regret that. I am not a bot, I am a very real person.
My posting history goes back to 2019 lol, I just changed names since I did not want anyone who knew me irl to find anything new I posted. The prejudices displayed in the documentary are things that are from India, or rather, subcontinent-specific. The movie exists only to dunk on Hindus and is likely the work of a sikh or a muslim. I never watched the entirity of it, but my opinion flipped when I realised it had religious undertones that were explicit. Going by snippets and kulaks review was not correct. Its a hate piece, large parts of India are bad but they are not that bad.
The dead Internet theory is probably true, but I have been less online than ever before, so I am not as bothered by it now. India at one point, it was the place for the Indo Aryans; the religious and spiritual developments you saw here are unmatched and likely will be till the end of time. I am not a self-hating Indian, I do wear a janeu, I went to a uni here, and my family pays taxes on time.
My previous posting history is under the name practical_romantic, I mostly posted in the wellness threads since I already saw way too much culture war on Twitter. I posted under two different ones before that.
I did not wish to post much culture war either, but the Kashmir thing forced me to post something; the caste census, however, is much more important. It spells the end in many ways, and I want to leave something that can help others know that evil things happen regularly, and people just blind themselves to it. India has already had land redistribution happen post-independence; whites had or have farmlands in South Africa, we have nothing. There won't be an all-out war, but if the state can wreck someone's life for basic dissent, bar them from jobs, a degree, and social mobility despite being smart, then I don't have much to say.
It's hard to put this into words. The civilisation I care about is dying, and I fear I can do little to change any of that.

The armed forces believe in the same goody two-shoes vague patriotic values as the American right. Modi is himself an OBC he has always been pro-reservation or affirmative action.
Hinduism is not the point, though. Even if all the people became Islamic, unless they were forced to end endogamy, group differences would still exist. People dislike the Chinese in Malaysia for factors beyond religion.

Its not just sc and st, the OBC strata is the same. Bihar a state here is being run to the fucking ground because the OBCs make up bulk of India and actively hate the Upper Castes (UCs). So an Harvard-like holistic admission is out of question due to scarcity and poverty alongside the asian hunger to sacrifice everything for nerd prestige.
AIIMS is the biggest chain of unis for medicine and they are like the IITs or the NITs or IIMs or even the NLUS run by the central government. Lo and behold, you can be first in the entire nation and still not get admitted as if they only have three slots, they have to, by law, at least give two plus to people of different minority status. Once you add the female side, effectively 75 percent of all slots for all unis are mandated to only admit certain minorities, so many years, they simply do not let you in legally.
India has the highest rates of amputations due to medical negligence, high rates of failure for public infra and everything bad that you expect from Africa, despite having smart people, not a lot but enough to prevent all this.

Also important to note that the soviets post-Stalin were not explicitly in the business of promoting everyone who was lower status. There is a book titled The Son Also Rises and you see descendants of aristocrats do well in all places, China included.
India explicitly hates that and enacted bills that forcefully redistributed land and have a strict ceiling on how much land you can own. So, as the gap between various caste categories increases, the intellectuals point to this as a sign for us to double down on state-mandated caste discrimination. You cannot win against these people. India has produced fuckall in the past few decades, Indians dont want to win.
The only Indian Nobel laureate in the sciences who is alive is venk,i who lives in England and publicly despised the uni affirmative action issues back when it was capped at close to 30, it crosses 75 now. The indian state would rather jail him than fix anything. Soviets were smarter and less cucked.

Also, Catholicism required you to give up the married or grihasta life, and take up a life of sanayasa. Its not just brahmins though, all upper castes are fairly similar, brahmins are the largest and hence get a much higher representation. My caste is the smallest alongside kayasthas. Also, you have higher percentage of Zagrosian and steppe ancestry in higher castes, and those who did better had far more kids.
Its not just rote knowledge either, Goethe despised Hinduism yet was a fan of Shankutalam by Kalidasa, so much so that it ended up impacting Faust, his seminal work. Ancient Indian culture had rigorous systems to test for smart people via small schools and those did well would evnetually make it to the royal court. Same for the warrior caste (rajputs) or even the non brahmin brhamin caste (kayasthas). I do not know much about evo psych, so I can only postulate about things at most.

I was in Chiang Mai, and it seemed dead but more alive than many places. I stayed next to Central Festival, the largest mall in North Thailand. Some places like Germany felt like a place frozen in the past, according to a friend who went there whilst China seems to be pushing towards the future, Saudi Arabia too in ways. We have a weird, global connected world where differences are not that hard to gauge. East Asia has a massive self-esteem problem, so passport bros go there. East Asia has a gutter tier tfr too beyond just low self esteem.
The world stopped being a place where the future feels bright to many. In Thailand, plenty of euros who could not hack it or got disillusioned find some solace. All the euros I met there would lament about things being way way worse. Whilst the locals would treat them better than other locals. The world even in the US is not as optimistic now, given demographic issues and the general unaffordability of real estate. Plenty of small towns are employed by one or two giant factories or industries, these people are at gods mercy if the owner packs up shop and leaves.
India is the same, the population is young but its mostly not smart, and people have accepted that the world is gonna get worse, hence the chad alpha phonk music edits of Ancient India. The breakdown of family, civil lives and places to these sterile multi-cultural grounds does not spark any joy. The story is the same in many places: the boomers sold the Canadians out, but they also sold us out. All we can do is pay for their retirements and hope that no one is that stupid. I wrote a comment in the thread about the same happening in India, you may find it helpful.

I'm skeptical because elite tfr here is dropping hard and the people aren't as smart as they once were. The only fields medalist who are Hindu were both born to Upper caste families in the west, which means that the iq shredding here has been worse than anticipated.
30 years ago if you did really well in the nation wide entrance test for engineering where the top 10-100 guys are usually smart enough to be in the olympiad teams, you'd get. PhD spot at a pretty good uni in the US. Not the case anymore. People from my high school who did actually do this went for cash cow degrees.
Most upper castes are poor and upper caste elites are completely oblivious to all this. They sold out our future long back and got nothing in return. I do appreciate you for having had a good view of what some operations look like but in most cases, these people are already rich. I was nearly a a thousand of a million people in the above mentioned exam and people in my uni will never make it beyond soydev roles in bangalore.
The centralised nation state is not ideal because it wants to spread its tyranny to every place. Lawless Federal semi feudal failed states at least you get away with things, here the moment one of the oligarchs wish to compete with you, you're out of luck unless you have serious technological edge.
My failed startup was registered in the US and I worked out of Thailand as these two were cheaper and more convenient than doing it in here. Maybe I'm too skeptical but if you are a poor upper caste, you're fucked because rich ones actively hate you. The attack in Kashmir last week led to a lot of outrage and public statements about it from Pakistan. I am posting about the direction the so called "Nazi Hindu right" party took. They announced a caste census.
India has massive hbd spikes, when you go from the middle castes to the upper castes. I do not consider China-style entrance tests to be the best metric, they make for even worse policies. India in a fit of leftism, upon its modern conception post independence in 1947 mandated affirmative action of less than 30 percent, which got stretched to 50 with the Mandal commission in the 90s. Affirmative action and bioleninism are two genies that you cannot put back in a bottle.
Currnetly you have cases where people who score a literal zero in exams can teach math, you can get your neighbor jailed without proof by alleging he used a castiest slur wherein the government will give you 8 hundred thousand indian rupees or about 10k USD within a week of filing that case, under the SC ST act, a worthy rabbithole to check out for the more curious ones. You even get money for marrying people of other groups, thousands of USD actually in some states.
The caste census is a death blow. The nation is not industrialised, and real estate, basic amenities like running water, avoiding land grabbing, and education are out of bounds for most. Land grabbing and owning a house is nearly impossible, even with high incomes, without a back-breaking mortgage. This leads to people wanting to get employed by the government and that is done via exams. In each exam, you have to present a caste certificate if you are "backwards" and by Central Law, anything government-related has to have at least nearly 50 percent if not more sanctioned for people of backwards bent. In case a few of them score higher, they are allotted spots in the "Open" list as opposed to the "backwards" one. So even the 50 percent that the "upper castes" get is not truly for them. Most if not all people who get decent posts indulge in illegal things. Kickbacks are the only way to afford a house.
Modi and the BJP are using the caste census as a way to distract people from their inaction with the Kashmir issue. The census will show that the evil upper castes make up close to 10 percent of the nation, therefore, even 50 percent is too much. Places like Bihar are already pushing it, and frankly, this is India's fate. The country's economic slowdown is not going to stop the chery on top is that the Indian Armed Forces is nearly 95 percent upper caste. The army is also the only place where you do not have any affirmative action as even the bioleniniss know that would be stupid because the army actually has to win wars. Bridges collapse here regularly from shit engineering but people learn to live with that, wars are not a place you want to fuck with. The people who serve right now, their own kids, will not get to have good career outcomes.
Sure, you have state-wide bans or attempts at them on everything, crypto, proton mail, signal but what will fix that is ensuring more people leave. I have zero issues with any castes, the post illustrates a deeper point, which has to do with the universal nature of culture war. Anti caste scholars saw the backwards people as blacks and their own people as whites. And now, you end up in a state where posting any of this risks jail time. When Spandrell wrote bio leninism, he used the examples of minorities in Europe, but that very concept describes India way better.

You can't own guns in the nanny state, now you won't get to be upper middle class either. The nation is doomed and pajeet elites deserve bad things, the kind that would be considered fed posting. I'm critical of most migration advocates as filling your nation with third world underclass and soydevs is a good way to end up with India like issues. Some is beneficial but letting large amounts of genetic rejects from Indian or Pakistani Punjab is suicidal.

Jinnah was a much more opportunistic and capable leader than Nehru by all accounts. A book my grandad adores and I recommend heavily is Freedom at Midnight, which includes a quote from Jinnah where he says that Nehru is fit to be a professor of English but not the head of a nation. Jinnah was a "muslim" who shaved daily, ate pork, was fond of liquor and married a Parsi half his age, yet he had a sense for his people. His family converted to Islam due to Hindu purity spiralling, but that is a story for another day. Nehru, otoh had issues visiting temples as the Prime Minister.
His insistance on being cordial with china, straight up retarded beliefs on the issues of borders and armed forces fractured the himalyan front for India, which is beyond recovery now. Similarly, we lost the Indo-China war because in many ways, he always feared military coups. The soldiers had few resources for the cold. Patel was a much more competent man compatred to Nehru, or saner at least despite having fairy milquetoast views. Nehru was a socialist like Gandhi, and the two surviving post-1930s leaders damaged the subcontinent badly.
For context for people who are not from India, Nehru was the son of a super elite Kashmiri Pandit father, and he let his own Motherland get savaged for ideals that I would find hard to steelman. He was right about Phule and Ambedkar, but beyond that, anytime I hear him being discussed, I always shake my head. I learn something new that makes me dislike him even more. Until this thread I did not put together the Tibet connection but holy shit. This guy's family is still representing anti Upper Caste leftism in India.

It's a great social drug. I had edilbles when I bummed around ait was amazing.
My favorite anecdotes include one where my Italian friend had way too much. He only smoked but never had an edible, and I had to drop him off at his room. I was quite high too. It felt like being in a video game in real time. It was raining very slightly. We walked through the dark, party-lit mountain roads of Thailand, which were quite reminiscent of Far Cry 3 and the setting there. Fuck, I can't wait to do it again.

It does. Taking any drug alone seems off to me because the social aspect amps everything by 100x. Any kind of substance usage done alone is a massive red flag unless its some high-brow liquor.

This isn't surprising, wrestling is probably even more intense. Submission grappling is the only combat sport you can do forever since even scaled down versions are pretty fun and productive.
I would have done judo had we had any combat sports here. Submission wrestling, the current strain comes out of judos lost groundwork and a lot of inputs from Anglo wrestling forms. Both those things are extinct now sadly.

Agree on all points. You see the same religious trains of thoughts in two wildly different places and somehow only the smarter ones are "blessed by god".
Abrahamic faiths, Islam and Christianity work on conversions, devotees having instincts to convert others indirectly or call others demon worshippers are understandable to an extent, they still not make low effort easily disprovable claims that do nothing but seem antagonistic.
The single most harmful strain of social chaos was a result of protestant values in modern leftism which seems to be beyond solutions as of now. Indo European societies existed around ancestor worship, you could never have had a pope equivalent telling people to accept refugees in such a system without the said person losing all relevance overnight.
People had to convert due to violence or at least threats protected by violence the same way many have to abide by crazy laws in our own nations. Modern society is explicitly anti christ and far more technologically sound than the 1800s, so is only leftism capable of sustaining the world's most advanced point times?
Not exactly how religiosity here works, but I do appreciate the effort you took to lay this out. My current religious beliefs, on a personal level, are based on the spiritual path I walk, Kashmir Shaivism famously disavows many Hindu Scriptures.
Still, I do agree largely with what you wrote as to how many think of religious concepts, which is why I do not like media that eggs on religious beliefs.
Hinduism is based on cannons and your guru is your cannon, so there is no emphasis on a singular book, the advait vedantins are different from Shaivs who are different from Smartas and various subsects of Vaishnavs.

Oh yeah. Kashmir Shaivism clicked with me because its the most esoteric practice-based spiritual path that does not care much about evolution, history or any kind of science as religious experiences; therefore, it is nearly dead as every religion needs schelling points. Christians should and do defend their religious beliefs, which is the way. I may not believe them, but I don't want games to desecrate holy things. I enjoyed the games, but I cannot in good faith ever say that without mentioning that it has pointless edginess.
