I wasn't impressed by this particular feature, seeing as not only is it tedious to talk to clankers, but they seem to be programmed to drag the chat out for at least 4-5 lines before they agree with me, even if I had objectively dunked on them.

Otherwise, this young master (with the attempt at Benedict Cumberbatch's face, so the "young" part is somewhat a misnomer) has also reached Kaifeng, but is starting to cool on the jianghu somewhat. It doesn't help that the quests I've helped complete in coop don't become completed for me.

A notable feature of the character creator that the senior above did not mention is that it's powerful enough to create such yaoguai as Spongebob or Squidward.

Yeah I noticed that as well, but larping as a wandering healer with pills and magic bullshit to solve any problem hasn't yet failed me. It's a funny flashback to c.ai days of yore which I do not miss.

Coop really does need work, I'm making acquaintances in my healer journey (since the healer sect runs on literal social credit facebook likes) and its jank as fuck. Still I persevere, for now.

What is this place?

Why are you called The Motte?

A motte is a stone keep on a raised earthwork common in early medieval fortifications. More pertinently, it's an element in a rhetorical move called a "Motte-and-Bailey", originally identified by philosopher Nicholas Shackel. It describes the tendency in discourse for people to move from a controversial but high value claim to a defensible but less exciting one upon any resistance to the former. He likens this to the medieval fortification, where a desirable land (the bailey) is abandoned when in danger for the more easily defended motte. In Shackel's words, "The Motte represents the defensible but undesired propositions to which one retreats when hard pressed."

On The Motte, always attempt to remain inside your defensible territory, even if you are not being pressed.
