Do the religious people on here actually believe in Christianity? Like do you actually believe that Christ rose from the dead, Garden of Eden, Jesus is the son of God, the Trinity, virgin birth, etc? Or is more Deism and you like the community from going to church? I have a hard time believing most adult converts i.e. JD Vance actually believe these things, but I'm curious if I'm wrong here.
It's unclear whether JD Vance really believes in Catholicism, I'll give you that- but he did embrace the most high demand and relatively low prestige version he could find, so...
I believe 100% in the literal truth of the dogmas of the faith. I believe our God was born of a virgin, the highest created being, died and rose from the dead, and is literally and truly present in the eucharist. I believe in miracles, guardian angels, demons, purgatory, and the four last things. I am not a convert, but nor did I grow up religious.
