The "rule" is that the first person pronoun always comes last. Of course, nobody follows this...

I follow it religiously. Not my fault so many people suck at their native language.

This "rule" has nothing to do with grammar. The OED has numerous examples of the first person pronoun being first going back hundreds of years. The rule was never about grammar, but always about politeness. From the 1868 Practical Grammar of the English Language:

Courtesy requires the first place to be given to the second person, and last place to the first.

Certain individuals who never saw a rule they didn't like noticed the convention but not the reason and assumed it had a grammatical basis. It didn't.

In any case, I hope that thou always useth "ye" for the plural subject and "thou" for the singular subject, and "you" for the plural object and "thee" for the singular object. After all, those are actual grammar rules of thy native language, right?

Why are you called The Motte?

A motte is a stone keep on a raised earthwork common in early medieval fortifications. More pertinently, it's an element in a rhetorical move called a "Motte-and-Bailey", originally identified by philosopher Nicholas Shackel. It describes the tendency in discourse for people to move from a controversial but high value claim to a defensible but less exciting one upon any resistance to the former. He likens this to the medieval fortification, where a desirable land (the bailey) is abandoned when in danger for the more easily defended motte. In Shackel's words, "The Motte represents the defensible but undesired propositions to which one retreats when hard pressed."

On The Motte, always attempt to remain inside your defensible territory, even if you are not being pressed.
