Ok but I was also discussing Africa. Do they have a substantial subgroup that’s higher IQ? For other traits yes. Long-distance running, fast running, height (Sudan is super tall) they do have subgroups with extreme traits. IQ you have a different bell curve for N Africa but still below average and then you have a small S African white population.
I don't know, but based on the old research that elite families durably maintain advantages even after their initial wealth is gone my priors are to suspect that assortative mating and different social roles are likely to produce identifiable subgroups even in societies that don't deliberately structure themselves on endogamous clades. Also, I have this (admittedly fuzzy) intuition that different genetic traits give humans different reproductive niches in society, and that those niches result in non-normal distribution of intellectual traits at the tails due to having their own bell curves. Taken together, that biases me toward believing that elite subgroups are understudied, rather than nonexistent. Especially since I've personally had the chance to interact with a number of very intelligent 2nd generation african immigrants that make me feel like there are more 135 IQ+ africans than your model predicts. That supports either a higher average IQ than measured, a long right IQ tail, my subgroup theory, or else the conventional wisdom that it's all nutrition and disease load making the africans look bad and genetically their intelligence is very similar to everyone else.
