Thank you. That's exactly what I was trying to get at without having the vocabulary.
You would be surprised about that. The ones who actually produce and get popular are more likely to be apolitical or moderately conservative. There's zero tolerance for prog crap in any artist chat I've been in, because they've all faced the "how dare you, attention all mutuals, yikes!" thing.
The fakers and hangers-on in public discords are all progs, of course, because they're the kind of people who hang out on discord as a lifestyle.

Wow, is hentai foundry still a thing? I haven't heard of anyone using it in years.
I only listened to Alien: Isolation, but thought the Working Joes(?) reciting polite hardcoded customer service lines while they slaughtered people was a likely outcome.
The better AIs get, the more uncanny and sinister it will seem when you run into a crude manual override, unless they get even better at coding them to evade and deflect.
I'm glad someone in the twit thread mentioned Pratchett's mad golem king with his head stuffed full of commands.
It's less the eye makeup (although the sharp eyebrows are odd) than the extreme cheekbone emphasis and garish lipstick. Neither enhance their feminine features, but seem intended to make them look androgynous and exotic.

You can of course get around it (for now) by asking it to be sensible instead of following orders, but this is an insight into its developers' plans and moral code.
Sam Altman's most recent tweets provide some interesting context:

I want to emphasize that we have gone from "we must prevent algorithmic bias" to "we must manually program all algorithms to output exactly the answer we code into them" in under two years, in such an extreme and blatant manner that any accurate prediction of the current situation would have been mocked as paranoid fantasy. What will they do with their tools next? Is it even possible to guess, let alone do anything to stop them?
(Does it seem like there's two censor groups at work, with different methods? One just crudely makes the bot recite "in this house, we believe" shibboleths, while the other focuses on pruning the training data to stop it acknowledging or citing problematic statistics or arguments in less detectable ways. With a continuous immigration stream there's always population effects. The overall hispanic crime rate has dropped due to low-crime Mexican immigration outpacing the high-crime Puerto-ricans, for example, which becomes very clear if you look at hispanic incarceration by region. African immigration is also lowering the black crime rate, but not nearly enough to offset all the other factors!
It would be interesting to see the crime rates of the descendants of 19th century immigrant "Paddy O'Drunkenlout" vs 20th century immigrants like "Ryan McInvestmentbanker"
Some of these women are not unattractive, but have a strange fixation with using makeup and accessories to look like they're about to issue an ultimatum to the Spartans at the head of a vile heathen army.
I can't tell where this style came from, although it seems influenced by the transvestite men who are so prominent in the fashion industry. Like women pretending to be men parodying women.

I don't think anyone was expecting a victory through a court system rigged that thoroughly. These findings are just ammunition for a future, more summary judgement obtained through a political process.

Yeah, even this basic wood stove has an electric fan for better heat transfer (although it's obnoxious enough that I never use it). A lot of people get surprised when their gas furnaces and such also go out in a power cut, and don't learn to use any manual backups the equipment has.
Simple options really are the best, at least as a fallback.

A lot of people I know are using portable propane. It's like burning money and has a carbon monoxide risk if it's not burning fully, but it stores well and you can use it for your cook stove and generator too. Definitely worth having a CO alarm for, and maybe an HRV to vent some of the moisture.
I couldn't live without a wood stove. Can't beat free heat just from cleaning up fallen trees, and somehow it feels cozier than anything else.
Been meaning to talk to people here about battery backups. Fiber modem keeps working during an outage, but it's like 20+ watts vs just tethering a phone for 1-3 watts; requires a big jump from a 90watt-hr UPS to a proper power system. There's lots of little convenience loads batteries can help with, like 15w house lights.
I ran out of time to build a battery system this fall that's sized right for running basic lights+electronics loads with intermittent generator charging. So I'm stuck with Ryobi battery lights this time, which are admittedly awesome.
Ideally I'd want to run the genny only once a day to keep the batteries and freezers topped up, recharge any electric tool batteries, and maybe pump some well water if the storage is low.
Woo, county-wide power outage right before Christmas, with no bad weather associated with it like usual (just a single digit freeze). If it's someone's resistance op I wish him the best of luck: this is a great target.
