I'm more than happy to shit all over atheism any time, anywhere. I cut my teeth in internet debates against atheists in the late 90's/early 2000's. That said, in my experience it only seems to come up as a topic in two contexts in discussions here: 1) atheism plus and other ways in which the modern atheism movement has been taken over by and also enabled wokism 2) the inability of atheism to provide solid moral grounding, fill the God-shaped hole in people, unite society under a common culture, etc. And in both those instances I think atheism sees plenty of criticism here.
What I don't see is a lot of genuine self-reflection by the atheists here on the possibility that atheism itself might actually be factually wrong, as opposed to them making arguments that it is just leading to bad outcomes for society. But that's about par for the course in my experience with debating them in real life or online.
some moral frameworks attribute little or no moral value to beings that have never achieved sapience
Correct, the monsters I was referring to.
Holders of frameworks in that second set should not denigrate holders of moral frameworks in the first set as "crazy" or "monstrous"
Holders of frameworks in the first set shouldn't be the ones deciding how holders of frameworks in the second set are allowed to think and talk about them.
Press the button to drop the mag, slam in the new one, pull the charging handle, and all of this is designed to be done fairly easily without taking your right hand off the pistol grip. You have to be really bad with guns for it to not make sense, and even then a pistol as your backup makes far more sense than a second long gun.
Does an earthquake come and devastate Lisbon on a feast day for a reason? Do people get horrible, agonizing diseases for a reason?
Yes and yes. There are literally thousands of years of writing on theodicy (i.e. trying to answer the question "Why does God let bad things happen?"). You can disagree with the many proposed answers and explanations, but it's obnoxious when you ask those questions like they're some sort of irrefutable gotcha.
For me personally, amongst the many reasons for why God allows bad things to happen, the biggest one for me is that this life is just a tiny moment in our eternal existence and as awful as it seems within that moment in the long run all that happens in our mortal life will have been less than a blink of an eye in eternity. And the suffering and pain we experience in this life serves a very important purpose in our eternal existence.

Hard to properly and believably inflate your billable hours when you can't do math.
Well then it's a good thing my uncle works at Nintendo, he gave me a Nintendo 65. No you can't see it, I loaned it to my girlfriend who lives in Canada and is totally real.
Because he holds extremely unethical positions for an ethicist?
Yes, but they mean the USSR wasn't just "An evil country more or less minding their own evil business"
I would love to learn more about this. Happy to read a link if you don't feel like explaining.
Haitians in Springfield eating cats appears to be at least a little more than just a wild rumor. A woman filed a police report on August 28th after her cat went missing and she found meat/gore in her Haitian neighbors' yard that she believed to be her cat's:

No information on if the police ever investigated further to confirm or deny this report.
For those of you who didn't believe the story, does this new evidence change your view, and in what direction? I was already leaning towards it being likely due to my prior knowledge of Haitian cuisine including cats, and the police call recording from Springfield about Haitians stealing geese from the park.
Didn't realize it was considered a slur here, sorry.
So you say, but if Christianity is right then according to Luke 16 you wouldn't convert even after seeing an outright miracle.
Funnily I mostly know him as "That monster pretending to be an ethicist who supports infanticide."
Hey since you're a mod, can we get a rule banning "I asked ChatGPT about this" type posts? I don't guve a damn what some Chinese Room statistical regression engine "thinks" and I could ask it myself if I did.
"Not all forms of being attracted to minors are pedophilia. If you like preteens it's called hebephilia. If you like teens it's called ephebephilia. The reason you don't hear people make this sort of distinction very often is because it kinda makes you sound like a pedophile." - Some comedian paraphrased.
Personally I'm in the "why do you call your pedophile chipper a wood chipper?" camp on the matter (at least for a case involving a 12-year-old), but even for an older teen (and even one actively sneaking out to hook up with older men) I think we need to bring back shotgun weddings. Unfortunately that's a bit of a coup complete problem and requires some major societal shifts back to enforcing social norms by both shame and force.
Not a father, but not for lack of trying. My wife and I started adoption paperwork recently.
I would have liked to have gotten married at around age 21 or 22 (so not long after returning from my missionary work) and would have happily had kids right away, or after graduation (age 23-24) at the latest. But God definitely had something else in store for me. I'm 34 now.
That said, I think OP is right about most men not wanting to have kids young. Non-religious men who want to have families at a young age are the exception, not the rule.
Clean it up, jannie
Only if you disagree with and/or igmore arguments that the unborn baby has rights that are being violated when the mother aborts.
So do I, but can you really deny the benefits?
Yeah, I can. Prices are higher in cities (not just for housing) which eats into the benefit of higher wages, and if you can work remote you can get big city level wages while living in the middle of nowhere. The only real advantage I see to cities is access to a wide variety of stores/food/cultural activities.
What if they took a drug that caused 100% of users to violently assault the next person they see? What about 50% or 10%?
Because other people using drugs does actually affect you in most cases. Whether it's something relatively small like having to step around hobo puke on the sidewalk, or something more direct like a junkie biting your face off because they're high on bath salts.
The only dystopic part of Clockwork Orange is that they even bothered trying to rehabilitate ultra violent criminals instead of summary execution.
