That's partly why I don't appreciate a bunch of childless guys telling me and other women that there's a fertility crisis and it's all our fault, men - the innocent little lambs - have nothing to do with it. Tone policing aside, this is definitely a valid point.  As they sometimes note on PCM, "Everybody want a trad wife, nobody wanna be a trad guy."  I get the sense that there are a lot of dudes who want to seethe about prisoner's dillemas online, and they're not actually wrong!  But seething does nothing to fix the problem; you need large numbers of people, men and women both to actively and enthusiastically choose to cooperate. Not sure about the original thesis, but this counterpoint ignores the ingroup/outgroup/fargroup dynamic. Eh, that's just asking about "immigration on the whole".  I don't think OP is asking about H1Bs, but instead obviously about the illegal crossings at the southern border.  Anecdotally, the news coverage of that is very much in the style of heart-string tugging that is traditionally aimed at women. What’s “Early Life?” Kind of hard to google.

It seems like it is.  There are a decent few states with laws that encourage teachers to immediately affirm kids, and then actively conceal it from parents.  Much of the shitstorm over the Florida law was about a provision that forbid concealing that stuff from parents, with an exception for situations where the teacher had a sincere concern that the kid would come to real harm, presumably at which point normal mandatory reporter / child protection stuff would kick in.
