That is not true. Eastern Europe problems are 2 - communism and post communist corruption. And EU membership made the second one worse. It was never for lack or excess of labor. If you check the countries economies - all sectors that for one or other reason are left alone by the state are doing quite well.

Without snark - is it? As in - is it easier for Iran to rebuild, than Israel to replenish it's offensive capabilities? So far in the face of Iran Israel has been faced with the greatest gift of them all - stupid adversary. But you can't expect this gift to keep on giving forever.
My humble armchair prediction is that we will be unpleasantly surprised at how fast Iran will get it's footing back if the regime survives.

That is not quite true. if I tell you to read the wheel of time up to book six (if we are generous) and then jump directly to the gathering storm will I be giving bad advice? If I say to stop reading dune after the messiah/children/god emperor - is it bad advice? Or witcher after the second.
Brandon Sanderson has enough time to get back on track and fix things. Series do have ups and downs. Fourth was total slog to read - you could remove 3/4ths of the book and improve it. And the fifth was both weird and the big secrets revealed and payoffs of mysteries were ... meh at best. And let's not start at the ending. The fifth was cringe in everything but the adolin parts. And even there was substantially weaker than similarly themed Coltaine's chain of dogs.

Do you think that Israel bit more than they chew with the Iran situation? I doubt they have the logistics for sustained campaign and it is far from sure that they will be able to destabilize the regime or plunge it in a civil war enough for the time that they have.

MBS annoys the purple blob for the same reason Trump drives them mad. They flat out refuse to obey the rules people weaker than them have imposed. It is wrong to kill a columnist, but if you really have to, please do it with discrete assassinations. It is so impolite otherwise. Their brains totally lack the capacity to understand how someone could grant women the right to drive and throw the activists that pushed for that in prison. You are enlightened and yet you have no trouble starving yemen to death. That makes you something even worse than a Trump, it makes you Kissinger. I know some people that have worked for him - and what they say - when things go good - they are really good, but if things go bad on a project - they go really bad really fast. I am quite interested if he will be able to pull off a modernized saudi arabia.

these exist to regulate traffic and force you to look at potentially dangerous intersections, so lean on stopping unless you have good reason not to.
The thing is that yield sign exists. It is pointless to have both stop and yield in the same logical system. Heavy traffic and yield will force you to stop. With light traffic stop is pointless.

Boeing just doesn't seem to be able to catch a break.
There is a tragic crash in India with one of their 787-8. And it is nightmarish - full plane, full of fuel, just after take off crashes in residential area. There seems to be survivors which is miracle in itself.
An Air India passenger plane bound for London Gatwick crashed shortly after taking off in Ahmedabad on Thursday, leaving at least 204 people dead.
The flight was carrying 242 passengers and crew when it was involved in what the airline has called a "tragic accident" in the city in western India.
Ahmedabad's police chief told the BBC that 204 bodies had been recovered, while 41 people were being treated for injuries.
He earlier told news agencies there appeared to be no survivors from the crash, and that some local people would also have died given where the plane came down.

Trump senior is not fully in the driver seat right now. Let's not pretend that there will be much of his mind left in 4 or 8 years. And his mind is terrible at driving anyway. Good at winning elections. But at best mediocre at governing.
Farming, shipping and few other sectors would beg to differ.
