Ukraine losing won't stop the west's slide into degeneracy, and Russia winning won't save the west from globohomo, either. Salvation will not come through proxy battles misunderstood as magical omens indicating domestic currents. Even if Russia wins, the fact it's struggling so much makes it clear it's not a real threat, outside a nuclear salvo.
If you want to stop progressives, you gotta stop them at home, not across the sea. If anything, I'm glad even a little bit of their activist attention is harmlessly redirected to the ass end of nowhere.

Yep, it can be difficult to work against incentives. But I do not have any moral qualms with said incentives, so I can't bring myself to support removing them or punishing them. I am not a consequentialist; just because something would help me achieve a goal doesn't necessarily mean it's the right thing to do. Sometimes, the ends don't justify the means.
I'm fundamentally okay with my peers having different political terminal values from me, and pitting electoral might versus electoral might. But I do not want to criminalize their behavior merely because it's not helpful to me.

Do you think anyone sincerely cares about "the human race in terms of body count"? Do you genuinely personally feel, or think the average other person does, that people you care about and agree with are equal in value to people you don't know or can't stand?
Look, I'm more sympathetic to Russia than the Ukraine. As far as I'm concerned, Russia's obviously more right than Ukraine, and Russia's actions now seem like a justified and inevitable backlash against the West's steadfast refusal to leave them alone. But you know what?
It doesn't actually matter to my life who wins. Every Ukrainian can die and so long as I avoid the news channels I don't watch anyway and the celebrities I don't respect anyway my life changes none. Same if all the Russians go. This is a pissing match across the ocean that doesn't warrant anywhere near the level of emotion the average American displays. I'd like to see Russia win, but if Russia loses, my disappointment will be about a .5 on a scale of 1 to 10. It's just.. not a big deal.
Everyone's outrage over Russia is performative.

I accept you're not pro-open borders. I'd love to hear what you're cool with us doing to remove these people and keep them out.

I do not object to the exploitation of illegals in principle, nor am I bothered by the mentioned potential consequences. Those consequences are a result of our dysfunctional government and social systems, not the exploitation itself.

They're not exclusive at all. It is possible Germany isn't a country. For instance, Germany could be renamed Doinkland, we could change the definition of country, etc. There's no natural law that says Germany must be a country.
However, Germany is a country. Plenty of ways it could cease to be a country, but those ways haven't come about. They're possible, that's all.
As for the rest -- no, I know. I'm not going to deny myself the ability to acknowledge the world around me and the actors in it doing things. I reject your appeal to epistemic helplessness.

Yes, they have incentives to work against my interests. That's how coalitions work, unfortunately -- I don't begrudge the farmers their desire to profit, but it doesn't mean I'm willing to accede to it, either. The appropriate response then would be for the non-farmers, who are numerically superior, to vote out the politicians.

Yes, the problem with illegals isn't that they're illegal. If the Democrats could wave their hands and through genie magic render all illegals perfectly legal valid citizens, I'd still want them gone -- in fact, I'd want them gone even moreso.
I am not making arguments based on legality. I'm making moral arguments. When law and morality conflict, the law is in error.

I have not contradicted myself, I'm not sure why you think I have. There's no contradiction between "X is possible" and "X is false". I could be the world's best basketball player; I'm not, though. We can imagine situations that would make me the best, but they're not scenarios we're actually going through.

It's downvoted because it's well known by this point the protests of Wikipedia's fairness are hollow. There is no more good faith -- if you ask, people will provide you long lists of documented instances of Wikipedia's entrenched biases, they will show you literal years of arguments about it, of people well-known and not discussing it. Whether it's GamerGate, or Elevatorgate, or Trump, or Russia, consistently, very, very consistently, Wikipedia slants in the same direction, fights every attempt to appeal this bias to the quick, and demands an exorbitant amount of energy to police lest an activist editor immediately launch right back into the nonsense.
I'm sure pigeon is sincere and willing to help reform Wikipedia. Of course, someone else suggested some fixes to the KiwiFarms article, and the immediate response from the pro-Wiki side was "alright, that might actually be impractical".
But sure -- utterly capture an institution and then use the fact your detractors have realized they shouldn't bother with it as evidence it's not captured, because those goofy detractors aren't even trying to exhaust themselves against you.

I agree the average American will not support shooting border crossers. I disagree the right cannot find electoral victory with non-shooting harsh enforcement, though, so your claimed benefit doesn't sway me. I fully believe the populist anti-immigrant right is capable of winning elections.

If no-one employs them, the incentive to come is much reduced.
And no cheap, exploitable under-the-table labor, either. A slave caste is useful, I just don't want it entrenched and influencing society. I'm fundamentally okay with the idea of Hispanic Helots -- I'm just not okay with it in the current world because we have this ridiculous notion of birthright citizenship and endless welfare parasitism.
I would, for instance, agree to support open borders if it came with muscular guarantees that these populations would not ever have voting rights or access to the public's welfare bucks, and would be forcibly kept in appropriate enclaves so as not to spoil the areas the rest of us live in.

Florida's Cubans are more than welcome to protest DeSantis' removal of a bunch of border hoppers, assuming they're not supporting it.
Rape is obviously about sex, which is why the most popular targets of rape are the most popular targets of sexual desire, that being pretty young women, and not Jeff Bezos or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who would both be vastly more impressive conquests in terms of the power displayed.
