My takeaway is that he would have gotten away with it if he had the restraint to not go around confessing to murder. Probably would have helped to not steal from the house after it's a murder scene rather than a robbery, but it sounds like no one would have bothered to look in his trunk if he just shut up about it. The implications are discomfiting.

To illustrate, I am fine with dogs living so long as no kids are harmed, but the second one hair on a kid’s head is harmed, genocide all the dogs. There’s no amount of dead kids for which I’m ambivalent about genocide.

Containing viruses is hard. I'd consider a lab leak to be within the normal range of human screw ups. In light of that fact, everybody up and down the chain of command who thought it was a good idea to do gain-of-function research on coronaviruses should be tried on 10 million counts of manslaughter.

Hard to tell if this is a rhetorical question, but in the interests of speaking plainly: Yea, of course. Police officers killing people who attempt to harm them is a shitty system, but it's better than all the alternatives.
You have this exactly backwards. Centralized services force a singular moral sensibility on everyone in the world. The cure is federation, or some equivalent of self-hosting or associating with like-minded people.
Edit: Zuckerberg, Musk, and Pichai are the people I should never empower.

You say this as if it's not true. I thought it was common knowledge amongst the people who cared enough to look into it. In 2017, Trump lifted Obama's ban on gain of function research, and subsequently the NIH funded gain of function research on coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Whether you call it "dementia" or "age related cognitive impairment" is irrelevant. Pretty clearly something changed since 4 years ago. It's hard to notice because ablity to read a teleprompter is an extremely low hurdle to clear. I was just commenting that noticeably more people started saying the emperor had no clothes earlier this spring, rather than just the right-wing political hacks who've been saying it for years. I'm thinking specifically of the Wall Street Journal and Special Counsel Robert Hur.
Despite fumbling the beginning and ending, Biden had a legitimately pretty good 30-minute stretch in the middle. I suspect he was given a shot of something good, but the timing was too close to the start of the debate. There are a lot of nootropic-interested people on this board. I should ask if this sounds congruent with any cognitive performance enhancing drug.

Biden has been gaffe-prone his entire life. But I believe there's been an increasing chorus of voices talking about something adjacent to early stages of dementia starting around the beginning of this year. Sorry, no specific citations, just my general impression from listening to lots of news and pundits.

Nah, Red Pill stuff is a great antidote to the lies that everywhere else in culture is pushing: that women are wonderful and to put the pussy on a pedestal. It’s helpful for a class of guys who can’t figure out why being nice doesn’t get them a date or get them laid. The criticism I’d level against it is that the skills that get you laid are practically unrelated to the skills necessary to maintain relationships and build families. But you have to crawl before you run.
