Photos that came out of Bucha is going to be the default answer. Incidental and collateral causalities don't typically have their hands tied. Of course, we live in an age of information warfare and PR so consume and verify according to your preferences.

Do you mean tradition or Tradition? Actual meaningful difference for this context.

On the other hand wasn't a Chicago community organizer somewhat recently US President?

Also, what is this French empire you're talking about?

Much of former French Colonial African is still de facto even if not de jure under French influence with the exception of the successful* "Coup Belt" countries. France is the poster child for the definition of neocolonialism.

Ireland is pretty ethnically homogenous

Wasn't there a whole thing with loads of (Lowland, Germanic extraction as opposed to Highland Gaelic extraction) Scots settling in the Ulster region that separates them from other Irish?

There was the somewhat recent change in the exam that leads to placements in residencies specifically to address racial differences in test outcomes.

There was the SCOTUS ruling earlier this year that touched on navigable waters since the whole EPA wetlands authority (clean water act) comes from wetlands being derivatively defined as navigable waters of the United States if they connect (by connecting to by connecting to...) or are near (for some definition of near) to a more traditionally navigable water.

who plays WoW but is far from a core player of that game (she never raids)

MMOs used to and still can have large female audiences. Pre-WoW days it was more common but you still see it in places that are more virtual worlds rather than focused on gear/grind/raids. Raiding especially the WoW flavor of it heavily gamified and tuned for a particular experience was a quirk of development/guild/recruiting interaction. Community content, roleplay, player housing/customization, cosmetics tend to be less of a boys club. FF14 is sometimes called an rpgmmo and seems like it has a much more balanced ratio.

Costs and benefits to whom? Why are the benefits to a homeowner who has a long term vested interest in their community (going to bridge) who will bear the costs of increased traffic something you think should be valued lower than a business (are they even property owners or non-permanent tenants?) catering to the kind of people who don't care enough to participate in local politics (or even non-residents). As a general rule, low level politics are dominated by people who care and people who show up.

To which Korea is that most applicable you think?

Like exclaiming "Let's Go!" when winning even though you're not going anywhere.

I was wondering if sun_the_second was referencing the old Mao story about Italians. I've seen it in a couple forms and I think the main source is Khruschev's memoirs.

Mao: In the worst case, half the people would die, but the other half would survive, and imperialism would be wiped off the face of the earth, and the whole world would become socialist.

Italian Communist: How many Italians will survive?

Mao: None at all. But why do you think Italians are so important to humanity?

So what's WaPo's excuse?

You mean to say a high schooler wouldn't be able to do it with ease?

FYI, the forked code base running this site will autocorrect twitter links to nitter or vice versa depending on settings. So right now your comment says replace <url> with <same url>.

Satanic as a term well predates anything associated with LaVey or Crowley. If your memeplex well is so thoroughly poisoned just read it as diabolic instead.

The philosophy of a long dead, Jewish Russian author whose objectivism is a minority within the broader ancap/libertarian US political movement that itself is a minority within the American rightwing coalition influences your level of sympathy for issues with the US?

For historical reference Golda Meir (Mapai->Labor) was succeeded by Yitzhak Rabin (Alignment->Labor) but her and her party did retain power though there were less domestic political issues plaguing Labor as a whole then and they did drop in parliament seats compared to before the war.

There's a particular image floating around of a car seat with a blood stain where the head would rest and next to it an infant dress with blood along the top half. And this news report. Of course Journalist reliability and the reliability of their sources is always a factor.

Omitted from The Reload is that they are limited to a single firearm that is not a semiauto rifle. So most typically a semiauto pistol like a Glock. And absent the "Short Barreled Rifle" and "Short Barreled Shotgun" NFA restrictions (that existed to close a loophole during drafting when pistols were going to be similarly restricted but when pistols were removed from the bill, the loophole closure was not), has led to the amusing product design space of pistol chassis systems. Americans answer for short carbines working around their laws was the pistol brace, for Israelis the microroni.

That's not the collective right interpretation though. It's the Miller standard of bearing arms useful for war, orthogonal to individual versus collective. Meanwhile some nobody Lysander Spooner writing in 1856 noted the right as individual and for personal defense as much for militia service. Or Charles Humphrey writing in 1822 "that in this country the constitution guarranties to all persons the right to bear arms." Warren Burger was a tool.

Several cases have raised the claim that the NFA is unconstitutional but they generally haven't gone anywhere. In particular the AutoKeyCard case raised it though doesn't rely on it (unsurprising given that Matt Larosiere is one of the defense attorneys in that case) but that one lost in an odd way related to jury decisions on definitions.

The rare miss. People forget about Maurice Freeland.

Meanwhile the CW thread folks share some in common with the old /tg/ types who would ignore the troll parts and just start having fun with some of the concepts or premises in the OP. That it's a /v/ origin talking about tabletop makes some aspects of the argument make much more sense.

The funny thing about the MX5 frames up until maybe the ND is that you can fit a small block in there only needing to slightly modify or relocate the radiator and properly mate it to the drive train. Which is not that difficult a task and the weight balance does not change by more than a few percent forward.
