I have a vague memory that long time ago I belonged to a forum that had a problem with members deleting (or editing) top-level posts after getting pushback in the comments.
They set up a system where every post got an immediate auto reply quoting the entire OP.

It's about as far from the stereotypical Grand Opera as you can get. It's in English, not Italian, the cast is all male. But in the end it's still an opera.

Based on your post, I'd say two even better interventions would be to encourage intact homes and improve the failing public schools.
