I suspect tamper proofing is less about drivers stealing and more about liability for the order coming through wrong.

A lot of the women in convents used to be there because they were widows or unmarriageable. It hung on longer in the east- where high status divorcees and widows were expected to become nuns even fairly late in the Russian empire- but becoming a nun was not previously something that required particular religious devotion; it was often a last resort for widows, daughters who refused every suitor, etc.

Or- what most educated people believe- that illegals mostly pay taxes but don't collect much benefits because they aren't eligible and like to retire to their home countries(which are cheaper). This leaves stuff out like the cost of their children's public school education but there are true things in it and the actual numbers don't seem to have ever been crunched in an unbiased way. There's also the take that illegals are necessary because somebody has to pick strawberries and kill chickens and Americans are too spoiled to.

- No to the passing only but yes to people can ride your ass/cut you off if you're in the left lane and they want to go faster than you are. Not speeding in the left lane is wrong without extenuating circumstances.
- Not quite guilt free but close to it.
- Depends what I'm driving- in my work van I should get a little bit of extra leeway. It's harder to see, turns slower, accelerates slower, and just plain takes up more space than personal vehicles and people should presume that, unlike them, it has to be there at a particular time. I apply the same rule to my own behavior towards eg semitrucks and trucks towing trailers.

I agree that Noem and Hawley would be dumb out of left field picks, but Trump is known for those and they’re extremely plausible as dumb out of left field picks.
In a scenario where Trump doesn’t have a clear favorite, I think you’re sleeping on Abbott’s depth and breadth of support within the party nomenklatura(nationally as well as in Texas) and Desantis’s popularity with the base. In a scenario where Trump does, it’s at least as likely to be Rubio as Vance- they’re both inner-circle loyalists, after all. Cruz I can only see if Trump doesn’t make an endorsement and the Republican base is more interested in hardline conservatism.

Counterpoint- while Israël has plenty of crazy people in it, they don’t yet have the critical mass to trade Tel Aviv for the destruction of Iran. And if they ever do get that critical mass, the ‘extermination of Israël’ will not stop them because they believe building high rises in specific patches of desert will change the metaphysical structure of reality so Israël can’t lose.

That’s why I noted ‘doing worse than Russia’ which is crappy by white country standards but able to attract immigration from truly bottom of the barrel countries.
I don’t think this is an exhaustive list, at all. Just that crappy middle income countries are totally a thing that comes in white versions, even if truly awful undeveloped places are mostly restricted to blacks(although Afghanistan is racially white).
