I would assume something like that was an attack, to be quite honest. The alternative interpretation is that you were trying to change the subject to funny youtube videos when people want to wallow (already a faux pas), and just by accident picking the one that looks exactly like an attack on the wallowing people. Unless I knew you to be extremely socially unaware I wouldn't assume such an unlikely scenario.

Speaking of asymmetrical games and going on a slight tangent, it is funny how the Vagabond in Root is probably underestimated instinctively by new players (he's just one guy in a game where factions deploy dozens of units and buildings), yet is widely regarded as OP to the point of houserules for nerfing him, banning certain classes of Vagabond and/or having an agreement to take turns whacking him at all times.

Great men, good and bad, don't pop into existence from thin air like the players in a world full of NPCs. They arise from the masses and their character is shaped by the same forces that move the masses, just refracted in a different way. Yes, most of them actually arose from the hereditary elite classes, but even the hereditary elites are rarely completely disconnected from the masses. That kind of disconnect is usually remarked on as unwise and fragile.

Does the common marriage contract stipulate that? I'm not an expert in matrimonial laws, but don't the vows basically say "live in harmony and love each other" and leave it at that? Litigating how often your wife has to provide sexual access on first demand is among the furthest things from harmony I can imagine, and no, "there wouldn't have to be any demanding if she simply anticipated my whims and catered to them" doesn't sound like it either.

Come on. Comparing implied consent to kissing, an act that lasts barely a few seconds (unless we're talking half an hour of tongue wrestling, and that's at the very least fucking weird if you continue to do it while your partner is not reciprocating), with penetration? Implied consent to initiating, sure.
Granted, I can't attest to any personal experience of fucking a disinterested woman, but it's more or less common knowledge that penetration can be uncomfortable or painful without arousal. It's not the same principle as "grabbing a kiss or a feel without asking", no. If you and your wife are into that kind of thing, you're free to have it. Not manufacture consensus that it's a normal and expected marriage thing.

When you mention technical secrets it does put the decision into a slightly more favorable perspective. Not the lies, though. In my opinion it should be perfectly fine telling people "those soldiers knew how confidential the subs are when they signed up, they died as heroes". It isn't citizens we recruit nuclear sub crews from (I hope). We trust those guys to start or fail to start a nuclear war, but not to protect military secrets in death? Ridiculous if true.

No doubt many Ukrainians have no heart in it. However, from my observation of the discourse in Russo-Ukrainian spheres, I must assume that a significant portion really does have the heart in it. I've never observed anything about the kind of people who make high-level decisions on the Kursk submarine that would suggest they are capable of any sort of mortal conviction.

No, I don't think the logic of the commanders there was "we want to do it ourselves because the foreigners will bungle it and lose our boys to the sea". It looks more like "we want to do it ourselves because if we accept aid then we'll lose face".
Not to mention, of course, that the Russian command did bungle it.
