I'd classify those as party drugs, not hard drugs. When I thing hard drugs I first think meth and heroin. Something you shoot up, something that makes you look like a ghoul, OD stories and killing for drug money.
Capable of running away, or capable of getting better outcomes than if they'd followed the guidance of their parents? I'm aware that children were a lot more free-range before, but that did come with expectations that they'd act as they were taught and heeded their elders. In fact, there was far more emphasis on heeding one's elders than there is now, even though, as you note, not all adults are smarter than all teenagers.
From what I see, the peak of teenage "difficulty" is 2-3 years before puberty is done with them. Seems clear to me that a 13 year old doesn't instantly become a "biological adult" when she starts bleeding or his balls grow the first few hairs.

It is kind of ironic how the most stalwart opponents of Marxism adopt its views on how the circumstances of one's life enforce one's political inclination.
What it looks like is that you have two logically consistent paths. One is to remain convinced of the reactionary right view and accept that the future of might has no place for ones such as yourself, the other is to put your self-interest before the glories of the future and shift your allegiance accordingly.

The way the article is written definitely comes off as more of a crime to me than the actual act of bringing the teen to swimsuit photoshoots.
I can agree, however, that we have a Schelling fence of "thou shalt not let underage people be in sexually charged situations with adult people" for a reason, even though some might believe that such situations are more desirable for teen boys than teen girls.

I think the Israeli government has answered with "as many as it takes for Hamas to stop poking Israel", and it is now up to Hamas to answer whether or not they'll stop poking.
Unfortunately, there is no incentive for Hamas to stop poking as long as their primary weapon against Israel, the eyes of Westerners on the pro-Palestinian media outlets, is working.
How many Palestinians must die in hopes of restoring justice for the lands the Palestinians living now have never owned?
I'm not saying we should forget that Israel was established forcibly. I'm saying that it's unwise to refuse to take an L, and evil to throw your people in the grinder with promises of restoring what they never owned, while you chill in Qatar.
